Failure to Deliver by GH Custom Aluminium & Carpentry owned by Gustav Hoekstra

GH Custom Aluminium & Carpentry, owned by Gustav Hoekstra, has failed to supply and install garage doors for which we paid a deposit.

We entered into an agreement with the company on 19 November 2025 for a property we are building at Eye of Africa. As part of this agreement, we paid a deposit amounting to 50% of the total cost. At the time of the agreement, Gustav Hoekstra undertook that the garage doors would be delivered and installed by 12 December 2025.

In the period leading up to this deadline, we remained in continuous communication with Gustav Hoekstra. He cited delays but repeatedly assured us that he would honour his commitment. Despite these assurances, the agreed deadline passed without delivery or installation.

As of 11 March 2026, no garage doors have been supp**** or installed. This experience is shared to caution anyone considering doing business with GH Custom Aluminium & Carpentry, owned by Gustav Hoekstra, of their failure to deliver and constant assurance that does not amount to anything.

We continue to pursue a refund from Gustav Hoekstra as we have cancelled the agreement due to their persistent failure to deliver.
