Glenvista Primary School is the worse. As the cold weather has come into full swing all a parent want to do is keep their child warm. Im not to sure if it's the same with other schools but something just really made me to see that at this school the Educators are more concerned about how kids look then how they actually feel. In the beginning of the year I bought my daughter both her summer and winter uniform. When the days started getting so cold I started putting on her school tracksuit. She would come home and tell me the teacher said they shouldn't wear that so she hammered me for the dress. So then I put her grey tights under the dress because I wasnt gonna send my 6 year old bare legged in the cold like that. Only to find the principal took her to the toilets in the morning for her to take it off. I just don't think that's right. The sent us a letter to state that we must please make sure the kids wear warm so they don't get sick and don't miss days. Then I wear my daughter warm, they got a problem with the tracksuits, then let her take of what kept her warm early in the morning. Iv had to endure this whole year, bad communication, last minute communication from them, yet we go along with for the sake of the kids. You never get hold of them, as they put numbers on the school letterhead that's non existent and you get told to not just do walk ins, which is understandable. The other day they introduced dance classes and make us to arrange with our transport to come an hour later. Just to find that they don't allow some kids for whatever reason and the kids have to sit and wait in the parking lots for an hour. My daughter is grade 1 this year so Im not sure if all schools are this ****py. Let me not even get started on how my daughter report on some of the grade 2 teacher who look after them when their teacher is absent, how the kids get thrown with the teachers shoes and slapped on the heads.
