Campsite uncared for with broken objects lying around. Bad water issues with no water on some days from 10.am to 6.pm so the toilets could not be flushed during that time. Hot water intermittent. NO communication regards the above from the office. We have been going there for the past 30 years but no more.

I am hoping that someone from Golden Leopard Resorts reads this review and passes it on to the relevant person. We booked a chalet at Bakgatla last weekend where we had stayed before. We checked in at reception around 12h30. The ladies' ablutions there are in bad shape with the ceiling missing completely and pieces of plastic hanging from the exposed roof. In some stalls the toilet seats were missing. Because the chalet was still being cleaned, we went for a game drive, returning just before 18h30 and wanting to go to the shop. Unfortunately we had not checked their closing time which is 18h30 when everyone returns to camp thinking they could buy last minute supplies. Really ?! We were given chalet 33 and upon entering the unit we saw that the bath tap was open fully and the bath was filthy. The toilet had not been flushed and there was dried urine on the seat. The lounge furniture had bad stains from what I don't want to imagine. We immediately returned to reception and were given chalet 49. At that stage another lady was there complaing that nothing worked in their unit. Unit 49 was clean to the eye, but there was no hot water and the shower head was completely blocked. So we went back to reception asking for the duty manager which apparently is not on duty although reception is open until 22h00. This time we were given chalet 29 and upon inspection everything seemed in working order. Unfortunately this unit had only one airconditioner for the whole double volume space so there was no way the cold air would reach the downstairs bedroom. The other units had two aircons. The lighting in the kitchen was so bad that I had to use a torch to find items in the cupboards. The next morning at 05h30, we woke up to once again no water. The kettle was not working and neither were some of the stove plates. The overall upkeep and maintenance is seriously lacking in this resort. On our game drives we found that some of the dirt roads require a high rise vehicle, yet there are no signs warning people. The hides and picnic spots are dilapidated with roofs damaged, braai stands broken and the ablutions filthy. We had intended to take overseas visitors there in November but that will definitely not happen mow.

No Refund after the chalet I booked burned down at Manyane Resort. In July 2023 I booked for the long weekend 23 Sept. The resort chalets burned down on 16 Sept. On 18 Sept I asked reservations what can be done and was offered a full refund. They asked my bank details etc. It's now 3 Oct and lots of emails and calls later and I still haven't received the refund. Every time I call I get the answer that they're waiting for Stephinah Tshehla, who I also send an email but don't get any response. The telephone number on their reservation confirmations doesn't exist.

BAKGATLA CAMPING SITE PILANESBERG What a disappointment this weekend was. Paying to camp and when you arrive back to the camp site some of your camping equipment has been ****** by member's that visited the resort next to us. No efforted were made to get our stuff back or to find out who the person was who just drove to our camp site stop and choose what they wanted. As the cleaning staff acknowledged a Nissan Navara Bakkie stop at our camp site and picked the stuff up. The best of all is as the person working as the booking agent told me she will assist with this problem and I Quote her response to me "Absolutely unacceptable I agree with you! I will take this further from my side and keep you updated." dated the 7th of August 2023 and still no updates
