I left some article at Hazyview Cabanas. I created an account with The Courier Guy (AAA201), got an online quote for the package and paid the money over to them. I created the shipment request onFriday, 15 December, got the waybill no. (QSD3QQ), and was told the parcel would be collected on Monday, 18 December and be delivered to me in Pretoria on Thursday, 18 December. By now, the parcel has not been collected at Hazyview Cabanas. I have sent numerous emails, tried their online chat messages, but I receive no feedback. I am continously trying to call their Nelspruit office which is responsible but they don't answer their phones. If I track the parcel it tells me that my waybill number does not exist, yet I have the waybill, and the payment for the shipment was taken off my account. I am at my wits end with this poorest of poor customer service.
I am hoping that someone from Golden Leopard Resorts reads this review and passes it on to the relevant person. We booked a chalet at Bakgatla last weekend where we had stayed before. We checked in at reception around 12h30. The ladies' ablutions there are in bad shape with the ceiling missing completely and pieces of plastic hanging from the exposed roof. In some stalls the toilet seats were missing. Because the chalet was still being cleaned, we went for a game drive, returning just before 18h30 and wanting to go to the shop. Unfortunately we had not checked their closing time which is 18h30 when everyone returns to camp thinking they could buy last minute supplies. Really ?! We were given chalet 33 and upon entering the unit we saw that the bath tap was open fully and the bath was filthy. The toilet had not been flushed and there was dried urine on the seat. The lounge furniture had bad stains from what I don't want to imagine. We immediately returned to reception and were given chalet 49. At that stage another lady was there complaing that nothing worked in their unit. Unit 49 was clean to the eye, but there was no hot water and the shower head was completely blocked. So we went back to reception asking for the duty manager which apparently is not on duty although reception is open until 22h00. This time we were given chalet 29 and upon inspection everything seemed in working order. Unfortunately this unit had only one airconditioner for the whole double volume space so there was no way the cold air would reach the downstairs bedroom. The other units had two aircons. The lighting in the kitchen was so bad that I had to use a torch to find items in the cupboards. The next morning at 05h30, we woke up to once again no water. The kettle was not working and neither were some of the stove plates. The overall upkeep and maintenance is seriously lacking in this resort. On our game drives we found that some of the dirt roads require a high rise vehicle, yet there are no signs warning people. The hides and picnic spots are dilapidated with roofs damaged, braai stands broken and the ablutions filthy. We had intended to take overseas visitors there in November but that will definitely not happen mow.
