I have purchased a 3 set Gomma Gomma lounge set in April 2021 and I have had endless concerns from the moment the amount was paid.
Firstly, the sales rep told us the couches are in stock and will be delivered in 2-3 days, it thereafter went on for a week by them letting us know that there is no stock in Durban. After complaining about it, the couch arrived the next day.
Secondly, when the couch arrived there was a display board stuck inside the single seater couch that we had found, this proved that they did not give us a new couch but rather the one on demo and please bare in mind this was during Covid at its peak.
Thirdly, with 10 months of usage, there was significant damages to the cushions and backrests which house and home decided to exchange for another one.
After receiving the exchanged unit in March 2022, within 11 months the replacement couches are now giving up and House and Home refuses to acknowledge the poor workmanship and dissatisfaction from us as customers.
The current 3 seater is breaking apart and single seater still has issues with the cushions and backrest. I just received a call that nothing can be done because the warranty was only 1 year.
As a customer of House and Home, it is impossible to be replacing a set of couches every year, and the reason we went to a big name and was told how “great” Gomma Gomma is, we really did not expect to receive this poor quality and overall terrible experience from the first set and now the second only to find out that we have to pay to get their poor workmanship fixed.
