GoPro's warranty is worthless if you live outside the US — and their customer service makes it worse. My GoPro failed in less than a meter of shallow water just ONE to TWO WEEKS after purchasing it brand new. This is a camera that markets itself on being waterproof. It is not as reliable as advertised. I'm based in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. When I raised a warranty claim, GoPro's solution required me to ship my device to their facility and back at a total cost of $336 USD. A brand new GoPro costs $399. That's 84% of the price of a new device — for a camera that broke within weeks of purchase. When I raised this, I was told the shipping restrictions are "not placed by GoPro" — but GoPro chooses to use only one carrier. DHL and FedEx both service the BVI. The decision not to use them is GoPro's, and yet the full financial burden is dumped on the paying customer with no effort or alternatives offered. What made this worse was the complete lack of empathy and customer service throughout. No problem-solving, no goodwill, no accountability — just excuses. I also paid for an additional GoPro subscription and warranty. Based on my experience, it is a complete waste of money. When you actually need support, it isn't there. Do not buy GoPro if you live outside the US. Do not pay for their subscription or extended warranty. This is not a brand that stands behind its products or its customers.

I had Hero10Black for 4 years bought for my wife. She struggle with it going off after few seconds or 30 seconds max. I paid abour 10 to 12k for it. Found she stopped using it. upgraded firmware. no luck. It is a dud! No luck replacing or getting it repaired. My query to Support at GoPro. com Support sits there with no action taken! What to do, please help. We are being ********** by poor support and bog name companies. Rsther buy a cheaper Chinese or Japanese version with support,!

I had Hero10Black for 4 years bought for my wife. She struggle with it going off after few seconds or 30 seconds max. I paid abour 10 to 12k for it. Found she stopped using it. upgraded firmware. no luck. It is a dud! No luck replacing or getting it repaired. My query to Support at GoPro. com Support sits there with no action taken! I recently bought a GOPRO HERO 10, and the camera is great, the challenge is the GOPRO support. Well there is no support. When trying to activate my account I do not receive any mails from GOPRO , I do however receive all the GOPRO marketing mails, which imply that the GOPRO domain is not blocked by my service provider. Trying to contact GOPRO is not possible as they only have a chat system that does not seem to work as I am in queue now for more than 5 Hours.

Very disappointed when I tried my GoPro Hero 7 White in the water without the casing for the first time and for some reason water got into the lens on the surface, didn't even submerge it beyond 1m. (And YES! I did make sure the side was sealed properly.) Thought it was suppose to be "Waterproof for up to 10m without a casing"....My Gopro is broken and now seems like no-one is willing to help me replace it. Surely this must be the manufacturers problem? 😔 Can someone please assist me regarding this matter.

First off there should be option to give them ZERO stars they dont even deserve 1 . Been more than 5 weeks now, after RMA and i have no camera , no eta for replacement . Support is a joke. I have raised 4 different tickets , messaged them on Twitter / Facebook / Created forum question and still no closer to getting a response.

I bought A Gopro on line on 23 September 2020 from the Gopro website, Gopro website stated clearly free shipping for orders over $50 my order was $349.00 plus a subscription of $49.00 but then Gopro charged me an additional $100 for shipping, I find this highly unethical to advertise one thing and do another, this is essentially theft and not good business at all! I did send Gopro numerous emails to different departments and to date no response. this is my 3rd Gopro and if this is how Gopro trick and treat their customers, then this is also my last Gopro, I will rather support DJI in future. Very unhappy and disappoint customer.

be careful when buying any GoPro product online as there is a no return policy on it with all online shops and I've been trying to get this faulty GoPro 7 product exchanged for a good month now. Guess what it is still sitting on my desk, noBro to GoPro!
