DEAR OMBUDSMAN I am writing to issue a final formal complaint regarding the funeral policies of my deceased family members, my Mother Chrisnel Hudson ID: 4310190053081; deceased 2 May 2026 7 years ago. My Father James Henry Hudson ID: 3808025063085; who passed away 12 February 2026, 6 years ago; and my sister Vernica Theresa Margret ID: 6806080126083 who past away 15 March 2026, 5 months ago. All required documentation have been submitted and also handed in at you offices by hand on numerous occasions, yet no payments, updated, or feedback have been received from the funeral policy provider as well as GEPF. According to their own policies, these payments should have been processed within 48 hours after death of my family members and receipt of all relevant documentation which was handed in at your offices by hand. This continued inaction constitutes gross mismanagement, breach of trust, and failure to comply with contractual and legal obligations. The delay has caused unnecessary hardship, and inconvenience, and may affect thousands of other beneficiaries if left unresolved. I hereby demand immediate payment, which must include: The funeral fund policy amounts owed, Accrued interest for the entire period of delay, calculated according to legal and contractual standards, and Full reimbur*****t of all costs and expenses incurred due to repeated visits, communications, and attempts to resolve this matter. Please be advised that if this matter is not resolved within 48 hours of this notice, I will escalate this issue without further delay to court for formal investigation and exposure. I expect written confirmation that the payments for my deceased family members process have commenced. All previously submitted and personally delivered documentation is available on for verification on request. This serves as your final warning to act in accordance with the law and your contractual obligations. Regards James James Hudson Coordinator: Change Management Service Excellence and Quality Work number: +27 12 848 8846 C: +27 (0) 82 828 8429

Poor service delivery as I submitted my complaint on the 26 of August 2025, when I checked the progress emails were ignored and I made a follow up by phone I was told it went for assessment no correspondence up to this level.

I struggle now 5 months with my divorce money to be paid out? The phones is off few times a week, the feedback on emails is terrible. If i get through on the lines, you hold on for more than a hour just to have somebody to assist with nothing they can help. My court order states 60 days for my money to be paid out... This is now 5 months.. First the excuse was 60 working days which i waited, and now it is just somewhere or nowhere by the payments department with no feedback on when it will be approved.... I need my money urgently - i have to support my child, have urgent bills to pay... They just do not care of give any answer on when it will go through to sars...... I am really tired of waiting i dont know what to do

GEPO was given a complaint in January 2025. When contacted in May, the complaint was not looked at. The member Nthabiseng Maleka who is assigned to the complaint is on leave most of the time and never returns calls. The receptionist is rude. They are aware of the phone numbers calling in and won't answer when they know who it is. Upon calling from a different number the call is answered. I was promised in May that I must wait till 19 June and the feedback I received on 24th of June is a blank document. I contacted the office and sent an email and no response. Till today I can't get ahold of Nthaniseng Maleka. The only time the member calls back is when I inform her that I will be reporting her on social media platforms. The member is aware that SARS is sending final notice messages for money that was not received. GEPF can not account for money that was owed to me but a directive was issued to SARS.

Why am i being sent up and down and calling like a lunatic for my own money. They keep telling me they sent my updated documents. Then when i call again someone else informs me that it has not been sent ..I sent emails after emails and no one responds..Why are they hoidung onto my money!!! my money !! I write this with a heavy heart where by I resigned from my work for me to care for my disabled child who was involved in an accident last year and left him crippled and not being able to do anything by himself so as young as I am I had to resign from my work to gather money so that he can get medication and pay doctors since I could afford while working now gpaa my documents has been sitting at contribution for 4 weeks now and Icalledcouple of times telling me that they will escalate the matter but nothing changes and theres no feed back of what is the problem .I'm so weak because looking how this are I might end up being one of the victims of those waiting for over a year .what will happem to my 15 year old kid
