I am so appalled On the 04/10/2020 i made a booking through bookings.com for a one night stay at Grandview Guest House in East London. I paid for the booking online on bookings.com and received the reference number: 2179622654 After i made the booking online i received a phone call from a gentlmen i am guessing he is working at the reception. he called and asked if he can watsapp me the location and i agreed and he proceeded to send the location. Upon arrival at the Guest house my partner and I went to the reception area to check in and we were checked and everything was fine. Once we got to the room we noticed that there was a fowl smell but the guy from reception assured us it was the stuffiness and should air out. We then noticed there were no cups or glasses in the room, my partner went to request these, when he got to the reception he was then told that the site does not work with bookings.com and that we will need to make another payment directly to them, i then went to reception to find out what is happening and the guy continued to say we need to pay as they do not work with bookings.com, i was then enquiring how i was able to book to through bookings.xom and how they were able to receive all my information, the guy refused to give me the number of the owner or at least a manager so we can atleast get proper answers. he then said he will pay it out of his money, i have never experienced such treatment and bad customer service, the receptionist had no idea what he was talking about, worst place to book at i definitely do not recommed anyone to go there
