Good day, Please advise why the toll station allowed me to pay every time I use the toll with my credit card, but on Tuesday night coming back from the Vaal I was told they don't accept credit cards only Garage cards. I passed through earlier going to the Vaal without any issues. The gantry on re-entering the Grasmere toll towards Johannesburg next to the ETAG gantries that were also not functioning, was the issue. A lady with spectacles was manning this entry point. The lady would not take my card, so I explained that I use it daily without any problem. I was treated rudely and no attempt to swipe my card was done. I had no cash on me, as I only used my card. This was a very bad experience and apparently lots of people suffered the same fate. I am annoyed and very disappointed that a normal trip existing accepted my card on return not. Why? What was the reason for insisting on cash? Something isn't right here.

1. 011 855 1034 is the office number but it has not worked for months. SANRAL please change this to the correct number on the internet. 2. Also not all of the lanes at Grasmere are open at any given time. Mostly 2 lines are only open this is what I always find when I pass there to go to Lenasia south. You have all these lanes but not enough operators at the booths ??? 3.Why is the change from the concession card to the tag such an exorbitant cost of R50? And then funds have to be loaded over and above that onto the tag. This is greedy on SANRALs part. SANRAL collects millions daily from motorist using the tolls so this R50 fee for a tag is thievery.

The plaza has been off line since Tuesday. The delays are **********!! Why dont they take the knock and let everyone drive straight through? No they make it our problem and they sit and have to write down credit card numbers if peope dont have cash! Its ridiculous too that only 2 or the 3 gantries were open, travelling North today. THE PHONE NUMBER DOES NOT WORK EITHER!! Someone please sort this out.

On the 16th of May 2024 I was travelling with my husband and daughter to Pretoria. I gave my FNB card to my daughter to pay for the toll gate - R25.50 with reference number: 74067244135132544790122. We were travelling in a white Mazda 3 with registration number CAA 116 043. The second transaction of R25.50 was deducted also on the 16th of May 2024 with reference number: 74067244135132544682790. It is one car that the fee was deducted twice. Kindly arrange a refund at your earliest convenience. R25.50 might not be much, but if the cashier deducts R25.50 twice from various people it amounts to an astronomical amount. I am a pensioner and every cent counts!!!! Sincerely, Anita Havenga 0846882401

I've monitored this for a couple of months now, roughly 4months - I've intentionall ran my concession card to a zero, and used my Visa Petrol card for up to 4days (meaning entry and exit) of my offramp toll (Grasmere). I've noticed that when the teller swipes my card up to 3times, I get billed thrice, sometime 4times. My bank statement shows me so, I've always asked for my receipts when I use my Visa card and the proof is there, I've got 2 receipt per day versus 6 swipes, meaning I get over-billed. There's nothing wrong with my card or the magnetic strip. Please help
