Years ago GreenSun installed voltaic panels including inverter and batteries on our property. We realised that the promises they’ve made weren’t kept. So we asked them to fix the mistakes, they didn’t react.
As City of Cape Town requested the registration of those systems in 2019, GreenSun started to play ignorant and criminal. It came out that they installed an inverter which (apparently) was not registered for this South African market. Although they sold the inverter to us, they presented a long procedure which has to be done. In an email, based for the quote they explained „There is a cost behind the registering though as your application needs to be sent to an engineer who creates a single-line diagram and signs-off on the application and he charges us for this service.“ … „We will need to come out and do the changes to the system to make it compliant with COCT regulations“.
Based on that explanation I paid the requested amount.
Later they told us that filing and submitting two pages was enough. So nobody came out, nobody measures and no engineer was involved. For those two pages and approx. 15 points of information of which we had to deliver most, we have paid R 4500. They refused to give as an invoice and refund the amount. The fact that those pretended necessary work was faked
I classify this as fraud, don't you see this as criminal behaviour ???? So if I were you: don’t trust these guys and don’t give them money before they didn’t deliver the job by 100 %.
