We gave Greystone Trading an order to manufacture over 800 safety shirts for us. The sample they made up for us was signed off and accepted. They requested 50% deposit to start manufacturing. We paid. We requested part deliveries as the client needed some of it urgently. There were always excuses for the delays and when we finally got some of them, we were appalled! The badges were upside down, the right arm was longer than the left, the labels for mediums were larges, buttons falling off, pockets sewn closed, the workmanship was disgusting! It was a nightmare. They demanded we then pay 80% deposit to deliver the rest and fix the ones delivered. Again we paid. By week 8 we still had not received our full order and the “fixed” shirts we did receive were all rejected by our client. We were under massive pressure and had no choice but to re order from another more reputable manufacturer ! We did not get our money back from Greystone Trading who used their family lawyers to send us letters claiming harassment. We submitted photographs of the obvious reasons why they were rejected but they did not respond. We were left with shirts we could do nothing with and a monetary loss that we had to recover from.
