n March 2023, we invested in a solar system from Grid Freedom, including 2 Sunsynk batteries. At first, everything worked well—but after just 4 months, one battery started shutting down unexpectedly.
Despite multiple reports, the issue kept coming back. We were told it was a “software problem,” which was “fixed” several times. But the same problem happened again and again, and each time it became harder to get help.
💬 October 2024 – We asked for help again when the battery kept switching off. No one came. 📞 January 2025 – Followed up. No response. Calls ignored. 📱 Only one phone number on their website—impossible to reach a manager. ⚡️ Eventually the battery completely died, and I had to chase for weeks just to get someone to collect it. 💸 Even though it’s still under warranty, I was forced to pay a pickup fee.
I’ve had ongoing issues with this battery since early on, and instead of real support, I’ve been given the runaround. I asked to speak to a manager, only to be told he’s in England and can’t help.
We chose Grid Freedom because they promote themselves as “green-certified” professionals—but the after-sales support has been beyond disappointing. If you’re considering going solar, please be aware: the installation is only half the journey—after-sales service is just as important.
All I want now is for the faulty battery to be replaced and for someone to take accountability. 🌞🔋
