First time visiting this restaurant for my daughter’s birthday. The food was absolutely superb. Calamari and deep fried olives are a must. Jason was very welcoming when we anrrived and arranged a chalkboard happy birthday, really friendly and hospitable staff. Mo was a great waiter and together with Basil they insisted on buying us a drink to end the evening and celebrate my daughter’s birthday. Great food, great service, I will be back again. Excellent experience

First time visiting this restaurant for my daughter’s birthday. The food was absolutely superb. Calamari and deep fried olives are a must. Amazing service and good
Grimaldis umhlanga at the pearls . My first visit and definitely not my last ! From the service to the food . Everything was beyond out expectations. My partner actually made a reservation at the wrong branch ,but this branch still accepted us and make a space . We wil definitely be back .

Amazing service and good

Phenomenal Service and Food
A huge thank you to Grimaldi's Umhlanga for making our anniversary so special. The staff and Manager (Basil) went out of their way to congratulate us, put rose petals and candles on our table and even gave us a dessert. The food and service was phenomenal!

Phenomenal Service and Food

Mouthful and Value for Money
Oh my! Grimaldi's gave me an experience that topped the recent restaurants I have been this year. Their sushi was mouthful, dripping out of my mouth and the taste was of value for money.

Oh my! Grimaldi's gave me an experience that topped the recent restaurants I have been this year. Their sushi was mouthful, dripping out of my mouth and the taste was of value for money.

Harassing calls from a staff member!
I have been receiving harassing calls from a gentleman who works for this restaurant!! Yesterday was the last straw! He is constantly calling my cellphone number 064***4251 asking to speak to my wife! Yesterday I received a call at 20:31 from 0310155895 and when I googled the number, it led me to the Durban, Stamford hill branch of Grimaldi’s Cucina& Sushi Bar!! I even called the number today and the female staff member I spoke with refused to reveal the identity of this scum bag! Please reveal his identity, as I am pursuing criminal/ harassment charges. I am fed up with his ****!!

Happy customer
A big thank you to Tim and his team for making our anniversary dinner so special. I Previously experienced an issue with their closing time, so I called the restaurant to complain about this. I Spoke to one of the owners called Tim who asked if we could give them another chance.. and said it was important for customers to come back. We made the best decision by going back and giving them another chance, we experienced such amazing service from the waitress Zee and bubbly Kayla who made sure our dinner experience was nothing short of perfect. These girls really made our night. Zee thoroughly explained the specialities and she had great knowledge of the menu. Kayla was so hospitable throughout the dinner and made sure everything was on point. The food was great and atmosphere was amazing. They went out of their way to gain back our respect and I don’t regret it one bit. Thank you once again for making our night so special. We will definitely be back.

Turned away before closing time
Utterly disgusted and disappointed with the service at this place . We dined here a few nights earlier and had a rather pleasant experience. The Food was good and waiter was friendly. We asked about the closing times and we were informed that the kitchen closed at 10pm on weekends. We had our family over all the way from Richmond and planned to take them for dinner on Saturday to Grimaldis keeping their closing times in mind. To our surprise when we got there just after 9pm we were greeted by the staff saying they need to find out if they can seat us , they went to the back then came back and informed us the kitchen was closed already. Extremely embarrassed we informed them we were told the kitchen closed at 10pm on weekends. They said they spoke to the owner and he said it’s closed already. I asked if there’s a specific reason and they said no. Their restaurant was very busy just as well as Umhlanga. I will never be supporting this business in future. We dine regularly in Umhlanga and we will never go back there. As someone who works at one of the well known hotels in Umhlanga and get asked for recommendations regularly , I will be sure to share my experience at Grimaldis with the guest and
