I purchased a voucher for a massage using my PayPal account. Unfortunately before I could use it the coronavirus hit, and I received a notification that they would no longer be able to offer the service. I contacted Groupon to get a refund and even though I paid with my cash, they were only willing to reimburse me as a Groupon credit. As I don't shop on Groupon very often this wasn't acceptable, I used the money out of my bank account and want the money to go back there. They are utter crooks.

I purchased a voucher for a massage using my PayPal account. I bought a coupon on groupon for a microdermabrasion. Found a place where i wanted to do this. Could not get in touch with Body and Beauty Retreat. Tried about three times. Called Groupon to cancel this voucher. The client refused to cancel this voucher as she had redeemed the voucher and Groupon said I must go back to the client and redeem this voucher. How can i go back when i already had words with this company. How can i feel comfortable knowing i had reported her to Groupon. I asked Groupon to please refund me and they refused at least i could use the voucher on another retreat. I am so dissapointed as i feel some of these companies are redeeming the vouchers and not getting back to customers. Shoudnt the voucher only be redeemed once the customer has used it. Please not happy with customer service at Groupon at all.

I bought a Groupon whale watching voucher for R400 just before Groupon closed down in South Africa at the end of 2016. The Groupon dissappeared off their site after the announcement and I was never able to redeem it. Their policy clearly stated the following "if you have a bought a Groupon, all current vouchers bought will remain valid until the date stated on the voucher. The terms and conditions on the voucher remain the same. For any customers who are uncomfortable with using their voucher, we are offering a cash refund option if they contact us before 30 November 2016. Goods purchased up to 4 November will be fulfilled. Should you need to return a Goods item you purchased, please do so before 30 November 2016." I tried to get my money back twice after they closed by using their online process for this (one of the ticket numbers Ticket # ********** 0) , and did this well before the 30th of November but they just sent me this: "...While we usually aim to respond to emails within 24 hours, we're currently experiencing an unusually high volume of mail, so we hope you'll bear with us if we end up taking longer than normal to answer your query..." ...and never responded or returned my money. Terrible service and just took my money.

We are travelling the US Booked accommodation, same night check I through Groupon at the Radisson Philidelphia. Groupon kept give g an error message, saying failing to process request. So I re-tried. About the 4 time it said " this Groupon deal expired" We were then forced to book alternate accommodation as it was getting late an we needed a place to sleep. We are on a road trip. We booked through Airbnb and found a lovely appartment, booked and paid. At 19:45 on the 13th May, the night we had to book in, a e-mail was sent to say that Groupon was unable to secure our booking, later we received a confirmation from Groupon saying that it is booked? I only saw this email on the 14th as I had no reason to check my emails after that, plus we already checked in elsewhere due to no response/ error response and inability to secure booking from Groupon. At noon the following day Groupon deducted the full amount from my credit card, without authorization, the never confirmed if this request is still valid. We phoned the Radisson Philidelphia, who told us to sort it out with Groupon. Groupon, after eventually finding a means to contact them, as there is no phone number nor e-mail adres on their website or app. ( finding a live chat facility) the guy just keep saying " no refunds" We spoke to Max and Amanda afterwards, Cris sent an email saying the cancellation date exited on the 12th of May???? We only booked the 13th!!! Hello, same day check-in, 2 hours after trying to book a respond was sent with "unable to secure booking" Am I suppose to sleep on the street on til they decide it is a good time to confirm, and without notice or verification, nor any contact number, person or e-mail adres deduct $208 from my credit card +-R2500 and then then refuse to refund although it was their error? Be careful all users, they pocket money unlawfully without any consequence to them it seems

After trying to repeatedly purchase an item on Groupon and getting confirmation that it has been done, Groupon has continuously cancelled my order over and over ....even after contacting numerous amounts of groupon agents not one of them are able to tell me what to do or how to move forward in the correct direction... how is it that one of the biggest online shopping agents only accept U.S credit cards???? Never mind the fact that I use my paypal account to pay in dollars and still i received nothing??? .... as I still want to purchase the course let's hope groupon will contact me now!!!!

After trying to repeatedly purchase an item on Groupon and getting confirmation that it has been done, Groupon has continuously cancelled my order over and over ....even after contacting numerous amounts of groupon agents not one of them are able to tell me what to do or how to move forward in the correct direction... how is it that one of the biggest online shopping agents only accept U.S credit cards???? Never mind the fact that I use my paypal account to pay in dollars and still i received nothing??? .... as I still want to purchase the course let's hope groupon will contact me now!!!!

I remain disappointed in Groupon. It appears that the client is the enemy. As mentioned in many previous e-mails to Groupon, I made it clear that I requested Groupon to inform me as to where my package is for a purchase made on 19 November 2017. It appears that one has to beg Groupon for anything to be done. It is also very manipulative to not provide a refund, but a credit. Needless to say, the response from Groupon is lackluster! Despite requesting, now NUMEROUS times to track the package, every excuse and other tactics are being used not to answer a direct and simple question.

As mentioned in many previous e-mails to Groupon, I made it clear that I requested Groupon to inform me as to where my package is for a purchase made on 19 November 2017. It appears that one has to beg Groupon for anything to be done. It is also very manipulative to not provide a refund, but a credit. Needless to say, the response from Groupon is lackluster! If Groupon is run anything like the one in South Africa anywhere else in the world, it will never survive. I once purchased a cereal dispenser from Groupon. I kept it in its box until my house was ready for me to move in. I moved in in May 2017. It was very exciting to open all the boxes with the goods I had purchased. When I opened the cereal dispenser, one of the parts was missing and without this part I may as well throw the dispenser away. That is exactly the same as stealing. Groupon took my money and sold me something I may as well throw in the trash because I cannot use it. It's disgusting for a company which deals with people and clients actually couldn't care about their clients and only cares about making money. I would never recommend Groupon anywhere in the world. They are shocking to deal with.
