Defy is doing all the queries of Grundig fridges! We bought a fridge/freezer the we believed was a very good product, it is also very expensive! We pay R27 000 for it on 31 Aug 2022! We replaced the compressor in June 2025 and in November it does not make very cold and the heat signal is on the screen! At that time the fridge was just over 3 years old! After numerous emails a technician respond after 4 weeks just before Christmas and said that the fridge loose gas! This is unacceptable to have this two complains within the first 3 years of the product! We asked for a replacement and Defy refuge! They also do not respond easily on emails and you have to call them and mail them continuously! This is the most poor service that we ever received! After paying R27 000 for a Grundig fridge it is totally insane

DO NOT PURCHASE A GRINDIG DISHWASHER! I HAVE discovered that a standard dinner plate blocks the sprayer from turning!! My air fryer basket cannot fit in either. My previous dishwasher had NO problem fitting either of these in (and it's definitely not a GRUNDIG). I await a response from Grundig. This product is not fit for purpose!

I bought and Grundig fridge and freezer set November 2018. By 2020 the fridge rusted inside so bad that it could not be repaired. So I purchased a new fridge October 2020. Three years down the line and this one is also rusting. Terrible and way over priced product.

i bought a 12kg washer dryer in 2018 from Tafelberg Furnishers Bellville and it has had problem after problem. Terrible product. Do not buy Grundig appliances. Overpriced *******.

The worst customer experience ever! I've bought a fridge that broke down 2 years after I bough it. I've reached Grundig for my warranty rights, they took 2 days to send a technician to verify the appliance, the technician said it needed to order a piece to fix it that would take 2 days, only came back after a week after a lot of calls and insistence from our side. Then he came with the new piece and says that it still doesn't work and the fridge need to be replaced, and still no replacement has been made after other 3 calls. Conclusion... almost 2 weeks without a fridge and their customer support don't give a flying f* about it's customers! The worst customer support and post sale experience ever! Don't buy this brand ever, they need to be put out of business!! It's shamefully!

The worst customer experience ever! I've bought a fridge that broke down 2 years after I bough it. The worst company ever! If I could give them -10 I would!! Be aware that they falsely advertised their products (stoves) are A energy rating and it’s false. I have solar and specifically researched for an A rated oven. This on their main international website. After installing the documents left by the electrician showed a B rating. All attempts to make contact on their website was fruitless. Thankfully I took screen shots and have emails as proof of their deceit. The local agent Arclik, distributes Defy and Grundig and it took countless phone calls to speak to someone (Shanie) who promised to sort it out only to then be be on sick leave and never came back to me… ever! I told them I needed it sorted out as I was going into hospital the next day. Then Spoke to Innocent who had absolutely zero understanding or empathy. Also promised to call back… never did despite trying to get hold of him again. When asked to speak to management he told us he would go higher and come back to us… it’s now a week later. Nothing. Now I hear this is everyone’s experience:(. Then Suddenly they changed some of the specs on the website… so devious but I’m not leaving it there. Once I have recovered I will be taking this to the Consumer Council so no one else is ever ripped off again. These people have ripped off good hard working people people by lying about their products. Others have warned about their non-existent service. STAY AWAY FROM THEM AND THEIR PRODUCTS…. Please!!! You have been warned!!! Bosch has an A rating… and very reliable.. go with them instead!!! I should have…
