I bought a Nissan Almera at the dealership on the 20th of December 2019 at 98 000 km at R120 000. The sales person's name was Brian Keet, upon checking the car we found ith that it had a cracked windscreen, damaged carpets and the Almera badge was there.
I asked for them to be fixed and was forced to pay immediately and make it an immediate transfer of which in my case was charged a lot.
I was told that I would receive my car in 3 days time but that never happened.
I was also told by Brian that the car failed the roadworthy in December.
I had to wait for them to get back to me and the car went for retesting on the 06th of January 2020 as stated in the Vehicle Registration Certificate.
Upon collection of the vehicle, Brian refused to buy a full tank for the vehicle and said the manager refuses. I also asked him whether the car has ever been involved in an accident the he said No because I Gould see that the bumper and the body had different colours of maroon and I requested for the service book but it was also not available. This occurred on the 7th of January 2020
The car only drove 2000 km and had to bring it in for repairs as the breakpads were already worn off.
Brian kept calling me telling me that there is a document I didnt to sign and requires me to come and sign it.
By month end February the car already had a knocking sound coming from the engine, I told my driver to bring it back as to avoid further damage.
When I called I could get hold of the manager and was told to leave my number and he will get back to me but that never happened.
Lockdown was then initiated and by may I contacted Brian again and he told me that he no longer works there, I was loosing income weekly with a non-functioning vehicle that I bought with my last money.
I got a mechanic who works at Renault to check what was wrong, upon opening the oil Samp the thrust washer came out.
After a couple of week the engine was stripped and to our shock the parts had green paint on them, the crank shaft was badly damaged, the pistons had sooth on the and one was broken, the oil pump, sensors and all that had worn off.
This really broke me and I asked myself why I was sold such a bad car. I took everything to the engineers to get it worked on. Even now the car doesn't want to work and doesn't have spark. I have receipts of everything that was bought in attempt to fix it.
What I am requesting is for your dealership to collect the car, fix it and to compensate me my money that I have used to attempt to fix it.
Or to refund me all my money.
Thus far the only thing I got was a lousy email telling me that it passed 6 months warranty even when they knew that the dealership was closed during lockdown.
I received very bad service and will not urge anyone to purchase a car from them. What you did was theft knowing very well that the car was not good.
