If you want a professional, reliable and good customer care and people who care about your time, this branch is not the one. I normally dealt with Omoda in Menlyn and I always received excellent service. I had the worst experience here.
I took my car in for a service at 8:00am yesterday. I waited for a long time for a driver to come take me to work. I ended up taking an uber, no one cared whether I left or not.
I was then informed there was a delay due to some system issue to load a claim with cherry but the car would be ready by end of business (this was around 10am).
I got worried because it was now 5:30pm and google was saying they close at 6:00pm and started calling frantically. No one was picking up. They only called me back at 17:49 to say the car was now ready.
I live 30min away and said I’ll be on my way. I was told that’s on me they won’t wait for me and I’ll get my car tomorrow at 7:00am. That time I had work commitments early the next day.
If you listen to that phone call you will hear how non-chalant that lady was and how she was making it my fault (ask me how). Blaming this or that person. It was 17:50, I could’ve been there at 18:20 latest, but no. They couldn’t wait. (I’ve had other service centres wait for me for an hour when it was THEIR fault by the way).
When I came in today to fetch the car, no apology or some kind of remorse. I was being pointed at by different staff members when I said I’m there to collect the car, with giggles. I didn’t even understand why. Until another Indian gentleman came to take the number plate and actually assist.
This is a sanitised version of how that phone call and collection went, it’s actually much worse. The lies on the phone call etc.
I’m going back to Pretoria. Never been made to feel so small in my life.
I am not looking for some template response, I am venting and giving other Omoda customers a heads up about this branch.
