On 30 November I bought 3 kids Havaians online (2 for girls and 1 for boy) unfortunately when I got the order the boy did not fit so I wrote an email to request an exchange. I was given a choice for collection or take to store and I choose Canal Walk Havaians but when I got there I was helped by this lady with the worst attitude telling me I can’t exchange because I bought my item online prices are not there same and she was telling me the size I was looking for which is a 2 they don’t sell in store for shoe I was asking for but online they did so I told her I will pay the difference( she knew I will report this and she said she was going to do a favour and call someone so that they can give it to me on the same prices). Please teach your staff not to talk back to Customers and have the best customer service. By the way she ended up giving me shoes she told me they were a return from another customer( I was not happy with those shoes but I was just tired of here attitude) All of this happened on 6 Dec. She might have underestimated me but I used my money to buy there, I did not borrow money from her. Worst customer experience ever

I experienced such poor customer service during my recent visit (2025/08/17). When I inquired about the specials, this staff member responded in a very unhelpful tone and simply looked at me in a stern manner without making any effort to assist. When I asked about my size, she did not offer to help at all. I was left to search through all the Havana sizes on my own, which was both frustrating and time-consuming. The lack of professionalism and courtesy made the experience very unpleasant, and I could not wait to leave the store. I strongly believe that all customers, irrespective of their race, size, or background, deserve to be treated with respect, dignity, and fairness. Unfortunately, my experiences fell far short of this standard. Based on this experience, the service I received does not even deserve a one-star rating. I believe that good customer service is key to creating a positive shopping experience, and unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. I trust that this matter will be addressed with the staff members on duty on this day

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction as a consumer. I bought my son some scandal from one of your stores in Waterfront on May 8, 2025, but the strap has snapped. When I called the store on Thursday, they suggested that I bring the defective item in person. Only to have a store manager inform me that I must write to the customer support department. The money I had wasted to drive all the way to the store and to be told I need to send an email. I need to be compensated for my money and time wasted. The item did not even last for month, meaning it’s not fit for purpose.

I bought my shoes on the 21 st November 2024 and in less than 5 months the shoe broke .When I complained and requested exchanged they declined.Im really not happy as they are false advertising about 6 months warranty.That time most of the time I’m at work so I only wear shoes after work.

Havainnas I'm so disgusted on the service I received today. I bought a pair of slippers online,received it 3 days ago and the print is peeling off I called your canalawalk store to ask what I must do and was told that the prints do come off. THE PRINTS DO COME OFF???? All my years of wearing Havainnas not once did my print come off. What is the point of the print if it comes off after 3 days. I was told I can come and exchange it for the exact same one. Why??? To come and exchange it every 3 days for as long as I have it. There's no point on putting a pretty print on that does not last , rather leave the CHEAP print off.... the prints is what attracts people on which one they want!!!!! Only for it to only last 3 days that's a *******..

Havainnas I'm so disgusted on the service I received today. I was very disappointed with the services that I received from Canal Walk Havaianas. We walked into the Havaianas store and wanted to buy a pair of their pride range sandals. The store had an adverti*****t on their counter which stated 50% of all pride styles. The pair that I took was R399, however when it was scanned the price was R250. I insisted on paying only R200 because that is what I was supposed according to the visual advertiser. The store manager came out and said it is R250, I asked how is it possible if their adverti*****t state 50% off. I would accept paying R250 if their adverti*****t said UP TO 50% off, however this was not the case. I had look on your website where it clearly says 37% off with the price R250. This is a true example of false and misleading advertising. The manager phoned the very arrogant operational manager, Angela Kruse. She insisted that we have to pay the price on the screen and informed the manager to not honour the 50% off as their adverti*****t states My consumer rights were totally disregarded and also disregarded my rights as paying the correct price as advertised. I also feel embarrassed and ashamed that this is the way that Havaianas is treating the LGBTQIA+. While trying to support the community they instead treat us arrogantly and disregard our consumer rights. The store manager also mentioned that we are not the first consumer to complain about this. However they haven’t removed the misleading adverti*****t and still busy exploiting more consumers. I am still proud to wear my LGBTQIA+ flops, but ashamed to wear a brand that are just pushing the marginalised community further away instead of supporting them. I am more that happy to provide pictures to prove this false advertising and disregarding of consumer rights.

I went to your Canal Walk store this morning. A sign was up stating that there was a 50% discount on all Pride Styles. There was no T&C’s on the instore ad. The style I chose would have been R200 with the 50% discount. However I only 37% discount and ended up paying R250. The same thing happened to another customer yesterday (15/2/2024) - as mentioned to myself & my partner by the store manager. The manager phoned your very arrogant Operations Manager, Angela Kruze and was informed not to the the 50% discount and charge me the price as per the scanned barcode. This showed absolute disregard for consumer rights and my right to pay the advertised price in this case - to receive the full 50% discount. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community it irks me even more - cause I am trying to support my community but it seems your brand would rather take our money to make a quick extra buck instead of celebrating us. I will still wear the flops I bought but with a very bad aftertaste of the brand and how they treat their customers - straight or ***. You can ask for picture proof - I did take pictures which are time stamped.

Bad customer service and even worse been waiting for my refund for more then 12 days already. I had to pay for my own shoes to be collected R99, that was too big when it arrived even though it was my size. I am discussed with the service and with the fact that I have wait for my own money so long, this place should be shut down and asses by the Consumer Protection Act, they clearly misleading customer with the information in the website, till today I still did not receive my refund. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.

Bad customer service and even worse been waiting for my refund for more then 12 days already. I had to pay for my own shoes to be collected R99, that was too big when it arrived even though it was my size. I am discussed with the service and with the fact that I have wait for my own money so long, this place should be shut down and asses by the Consumer Protection Act, they clearly misleading customer with the information in the website, till today I still did not receive my refund. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
