I give Haval Roodepoort 1 star because they are so unprofessional, my mom owns a Haval H9 with the registration JS 08 TZ GP that has been parked at Haval Roodepoort for a full year and 8 months now. My mom bought this car around 2021 towards the end of the year, she drove it only a few months then in 2022 December it started having a funny sound from the engine, she took it to Haval for service because it was Due for service around those times, they then serviced the car and the sound was not there for a few weeks, after that in January another funny sound started coming out of the engine again, she contacted Haval and they told her to bring the car she took the car to Haval Roodepoort around late January 2023 they kept the car for about 3 months before they started communicating with her when she finally called them they said they are still checking what the problem is (note that was 3 months later!!!!) they stayed with the car and around July they told her that the problem is with the injectors they will order them and replace them those injectors took 2 more months to get to them 🤦 they put them in but still they could get the exact problem of the car (their own brand is now a problem to them), they then told my mom she need to pay R50 000 for the parts that are needed for the engine, my mom struggled to get that R50k together but because she wanted her car she paid it, they then said she will receive her car. well and good she still didn't receive the car because they still took another 4 months with the car in their garage. around November 2023 my mom contacted them and pleaded with them that holidays are approaching she will need her car, ( mind you she is still paying ±R12000 p/m for that car she hasn't driven for almost a year) Haval Roodepoort then promised that around the 2nd week of December 2023 they will try and fix the car to make it good enough to reach Durban, okay they told my mom that she can fetch her car around the 3rd week of December 2023 she went and got it back, as excited as we're were to have our family car back we drove straight to Durban still with that sound but it sounded faint now we got to Durban while we were still enjoying our December holidays there goes the Haval starting with the sound now sounding loud in the middle of the road in Durban CBD, my mom called Haval Roodepoort and they said they can't help with anything because it's a Saturday and we are miles away. Cool my mom had to hire a tow truck to take the car from Durban Town to my aunts place, she later had to hire another tow truck that will take the car from Durban to Haval Roodepoort in that same week of visiting Durban, she had to pay another good money to get it back to Haval Roodepoort, my question is if they knew the car wasn't okay why did they allow her to take it? What if it costed all our lives? I see negligence in all this, the car has been at Haval Roodepoort since December it's August 2024 now the car is still not back, they wanted her to pay another R50k (for what? We don't know) and she said she can't she doesn't have that kind of money, I feel like Haval Roodepoort is taking my mom for granted because she's a black disabled woman, if it was a white person in this situation, they would have been given a new car a long time ago or they would have made a plan to make the situation bearable. My mom is disabled she uses a crutch to walk how do they think she's getting to work these whole 20 months without her car while she's working in Edenvale Germiston and staying in Randfontein. I hate Haval Roodepoort and their service and they're ****** behavior they don't respect their customers for the fact that this car has manufacture error cause my mom has never been involved in any accident with it they were supposed to find a way to fix this situation better than how they have treated my mom and went about it.
