ordered a headboard and received an order confirmation. Their email said the lead time is on the website, so I checked and saw it was 14 days. It has now been 16 days, and I have received no updates about my order. I emailed the company asking for an update but got no reply. I then contacted Happy Pay for assistance, and the only response the company gave was a snarky comment saying the lead time is 14 days and that customers “use WhatsApp” to communicate. This is completely unprofessional. Even if the headboard is still being manufactured, they could have sent a kind email or used a proper system to give me an update. Taking a customer’s money without providing any real communication or service is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I do not recommend buying from this company.

Attitude, bad business ethics and customer service. I ordered a headboard that I had to push for days for me to receive it. No updates on orders because she says she can't update all her customers, so surely there are important ones that she gives updates and speedy their orders. When i finally received it, it was without legs and when I reported I was told I didn't pay for legs. My order on the website included legs and I payed for the price I was given on the website, how is it my fault if price for legs wasn't processed? (My order reflects that it includes legs) I also selected correctly the shipping price of R200 and I payed the price GIVEN. When I tell her im gonna report and review her business, she threatens me with her lawyers.

I contacted this company in June 2024 for a headboard. I received it in time but only managed to setup the headboard after a month. Upon opening the headboard, I could see that one of the panels wasn't in the grooves tight and snug but I didn't make a big deal of it. In March 2025, I started noticing that the panels are not snug anymore, they are coming apart so I contacted the owner on WhatsApp and I mentioned to her that I am not happy about the headboard. She mentioned that friction on the headboard can do that and that those panels are just simply glued. We pay so much of money for something you expect to be made of quality only to find out that it's only glue holding the separations together. Her suggestion to me was I could look at 2 other options of headboards, creating the idea that I had an option to send them back my headboard and I would pay in more for a different type of headboard and that would resolve the issue. I asked her what the exchange process is because this is what the assumption she created was and she ignored me. I then sent a follow-up message to her and she then mentioned that there are no exchanges and prices are on their website. If their workmanship was so shoddy in the first place, why would she create a misunderstanding that they could assist me as I had then option of getting another headboard? Why would I ever trust their unprofessional workmanship ever again? They didn't even offer assistance in the form of how to fix my current headboard but she wants me to buy a new one from them!

I contacted this company in June 2024 for a headboard. I received it in time but only managed to setup the headboard after a month. I ordered a bed end (quite a while ago) and on the order it mentioned it would taker 7-14 days for delivery, which is fair. To my disappointment however , this went to well over 4 weeks. Then a delivery arrived at my home , it was the same shape as a bed end but without any legs. I thought then the legs might be inside attached (and we must just assemble the bed end , like we've done before with items from @home and Coricraft), However after opening the item we discovered it is a headboard. I then waited for communication from the supplier -Headboards For Africa. They sent an e-mail and a whatts app message . I said that they could collect the headboards weekdays until 2 , as my domestic worker leaves at 2 everyday. The Supplier then said "its my mistake " i must make sure i get the headboard wrapped at my cost. I then asked as to how this is my mistake , i am not in charge of their deliveries or the courier companies. He then insulted me and asked me if i am intellectually challenged. I explained to him why we thought that it was a bed end , mentioning we thought we had to attach the legs or assemble the item. He kept insulting me and making me out to be a *****. I initially and kept saying your welcome to any week day collect the headboard until 2 daily , just arrange wrapping with the courier company. He then followed by for the third time insulting me and saying that he would not be paying for wrapping of the headboard. And that i'm responsible for the error. He then also informed me that he would not be sending my bead end - or refunding my money. Please save yourself the hassle and insults from this company.

Made an order in March 2022 for custom bases. Eventually it got delivered in June however the bases were too long after which they informed me that my order was mixed up so I got the incorrect bases size wise with the correct material. Sent it back and eventually in August 2022 it got redelivered. This time the stitching was done so poorly it looked like second hand bed bases. It was also not the correct height. I eventually informed Cheryl who immediately was on the defense saying i lied about what I had ordered and that she personally sent out the order which was perfect when it left. She asked me why I waited until the weekend to inform her of the damage and implied that I somehow damaged the material. Then also added on that the previous order I had sent back somehow jumped into different packaging and was dirty but that she did not charge me for it which is utter nonsense. I have never experienced such bad customer service and the arrogance of this woman is on another level. This company does not take pride in their product and do not value customers. She even had the audacity to tell me that I squeezed the bases into a frame and damaged it. I showed here images of how it does not fit into the frame but lies on top so it cannot be squeezed in. She didnt care and informed me that SHE HAS ALREADY LOST ON THE ORDER. Never in my life. I hope no one spends their money with this company and lives through this experience. It is daylight robbery.

I placed (and paid) for an online order for a headboard and upholstered bed base (to the tune of R15k) on the 15th of February 2022. Headboards For Africa eventually delivered on the 25th of April 2022 after I issued them with a letter of demand. They promise 14 to 21 business days to manufacture, but clearly don't deliver within this timeframe. Communication was poor from the very start, they promise to deliver and then come up with various excuses why they are unable to.

I made an online order on the 27 of july for a headboard, I followed up on the 31st of July regarding if payment has been received a lady named Cheryl said yes and advised it does take 14 days for the headboard to be made and delivered, I sent another email to check the status of delivery I was advised they had a delay, on the 24 of August I sent another one where Cheryl promised me that it will be delivered within this week, still today I am still waiting, the service received was pathetic I'm actually disgusted and annoyed of the fact that I have been lied to by this cheryl lady I have to do the run around to check for my order nothing from her side telling me about a delay this time , this really shows that it's about the money and not the customer at all, I don't even care right now about the "fake apology" line they will throw, at the end of the day I don't have my headboard on the scheduled timeframe they promised, I actually regret buying from this company and it's the rotten apples fault who cannot communicate effectively with customers such a pitty that they get hired to lie to customers, I'm very much disgusted with these people who are inconsistent, no sense of urgency just a bull of lies I want my headboard you can save the whole sorry sobby story it's meaningless anyway.

I paid R7,500.00 for the goods upfront as they requested and waited for my headboard to arrive. A few weeks later the product arrived, but to my surprise it was the wrong size and not what I ordered. In addition, the products workmanship with really bad with *****s coming through the fabric. I contacted them and then the problems started!!!! They would not take any liability for sending us the wrong headboard, nor the fact that their workmanship was really substandard. I sent the product back via the courier company that that they used to deliver the headboard as agreed with them telephonically, and requested a refund, which they said they would do.</p> <p>They now have my money and their headboard and now refuse to refund us our cash back. Even better, they do not take my calls.</p> <p> </p> <p>THESE PEOPLE ARE THIEVES!!!!!! Their business should be call THIEVES FOR AFRICA and certainly not Headboards for Africa.</p> <p> </p>
