Hello Paisa
Based on recent customer reviews, Hello Paisa faces severe criticism across nearly every aspect of its service. Customers frequently report funds being held or frozen for weeks or months due to FICA holds and account blocks, with little communication or resolution from support teams. Failed transfers, missing deposits, and delayed refunds are recurring complaints. Many reviewers describe call centre agents as unhelpful, rude, and unable to escalate issues effectively. Multiple customers have threatened regulatory complaints or legal action, and several express intent to permanently leave the platform.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.

Hello Paisa has kept my account on FICA hold since October last year, despite me submitting all requested documents long ago. It has now been over 4 months, and I still cannot access my money. Customer support keeps delaying without providing a clear reason or resolution timeline. My passport is valid until 2030, so there is absolutely no justification for this prolonged hold. At this point, this feels like withholding customer funds without cause. I trusted Hello Paisa with my money, and this experience has been stressful, unacceptable, and deeply disappointing. I would not recommend this service unless they resolve FICA issues transparently and within a reasonable timeframe.

On 18 October 2025, I made an instant transfer from my FNB account to my Hellopaisa account (powered by Bidvest). The funds were successfully deducted from my FNB account. I have clear proof of payment, yet the funds have never reflected in my Hellopaisa account. As of 14 December 2025, this issue has been unresolved for almost two months. I have contacted FNB Business and Hellopaisa support multiple times. Instead of resolving the matter, I have been passed between departments, with no ownership, no feedback, and no resolution from either party. This complaint is now directed publicly at Hellopaisa, FNB, and Bidvest. I require the following within 48 hours: 1.Written confirmation of the exact location/status of the funds 2.Accountability on which institution is holding the funds 3.Immediate settlement — either credit to my Hellopaisa account or a full refund Failure to resolve this will result in escalation to the Banking Ombudsman, FSCA, and formal legal action, using all documentation already in my possession. This matter should never take two months for an instant transfer.

My experience with Hello Paisa has been extremely stressful and heartbreaking. My entire salary went missing, and despite providing all the required information, I received no real help or resolution. I was assisted by a staff member named Sonaina Dhanasar, who requested proof from my employer. I submitted everything that was asked of me, believing the matter would be handled professionally. Unfortunately, after providing the proof, nothing was done. There was no follow-up, no proper communication, and no urgency — while I was left without my hard-earned money. This has caused serious emotional and financial distress for me and my family. A financial service should protect customers, not ignore them when they are in crisis. The lack of accountability and transparency is deeply concerning. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Hello Paisa to be extremely careful. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

On 30 October, a payment of R1115 was made to my account by my business partner, as is normal every week, but to my surprise, that transfer never reflected in my account. I waited for a day and later called the Hello Paisa customer care, the most useless platform I have ever come across. From one agent to the other, a lady named Sue assured me that she would escalate and inform the finance department, but till now, 23 November, nothing has happened. On 17 November, another transfer of R10111 was made to my account, and the same thing happened - I haven't received the R1115, and now they have also taken R10111. Hello Paisa is a ****mer. I used to doubt people who complained about this ****mer masquerading as a bank, but I have been with Hello Paisa since 2019, and this is the last straw. My advice is to avoid those ****mers at all costs until they have a physical bank and office where people can go and get their issues resolved. Everything is done online, and if they tell you your issue has been escalated, you have to wait. Four years ago, someone was crying after losing money to this Hello Paisa ****mer, and I thought it was a joke. Now it's my turn. Everyone will be a victim slowly but surely. Now, there is a manager named Mpho who promised to help, but I have lost trust. What's the point of a call center if nothing gets resolved? The government should shut down that so-called bank. Hello Paisa is the biggest **** in town, preying on foreign nationals mostly. #stayawayfromhellopaisa
