Shoddy workmanship & kept on demanding more & more money to finish the project.

After we had paid a very large deposit and 4 slabs of granite was purchased, it then transpired that Henry did not have the tools & s****s to actually fabricate the granite to the specifications that was agreed upon between us & him during the consultation process prior to him giving us a quotation. He deliberately withheld this information from us.

Subsequently he could not deliver on any of the promises that he had made to us & we are now stuck with granite countertops that are not correctly cut & have varying widths on the overhangs. Despite him having taken templates prior to cutting the granite, we're also left with countertops that were cut too short & he "fixed it" by gluing in 1 & 2 cm strips on the ends. These strips are highly visible & very unsightly.

On the top surface of almost every countertop he has managed to sand the shiny factory polish off "accidentally" with a grinder, leaving large dull sections that cannot be repaired.

During the project he also frequently demanded more money from us to pay the delivery truck, his labourers' wages etc etc. We ended up paying him R 7000 more than his quotation in the hope that he will just get the work finished.

In the end he never finished the project & we will need to have most of this granite replaced.

If you are considering using his services, please do not as you will most likely be terribly disappointed & it will end up costing you much more than what you had signed up for.
