Frustrating insurance claim experience with Hi Online
Frustrating insurance claim experience with Hi Online. Bought a spare phone for husband, took out insurance, but when damaged, the claim process was a nightmare. - Took almost a month to find a store to accept the phone for claim - Insurance company took another month to process, then said phone couldn't be repaired, offered R3000 voucher - Voucher limitations: - Couldn't use on sale phones (like Samsung A16) - Couldn't choose a more expensive phone and pay difference - Unused amount forfeited, couldn't buy accessories or add to account - Ended up with lower-quality phone - Disappointing experience, wouldn't recommend Hi Online insurance. Contrast with MTN Insurance Mobility 24, which has been smooth and quick.
