Dear SPAR Hillary Management, I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding an order I placed with your store. Your team processed my order without first confirming whether delivery services are available in Umlazi. This lack of basic verification has caused me significant inconvenience and wasted my time. What made this situation worse was the unprofessional and rude attitude displayed by the female manager I spoke to. Her manner was dismissive, and she showed no willingness to assist or take responsibility for the error made by your store. I also spoke to Nombuso from the Hillary store, who informed me that they could not assist me further, and the manager confirmed that she “cannot help me.” This level of customer service is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I should not be penalized for your store’s failure to check delivery availability before processing payment. I am therefore requesting a full refund, which I expect to receive no later than Monday or Tuesday. Please treat this matter as urgent. I trust that SPAR values its customers and will resolve this issue promptly and professionally. I look forward to your immediate response and confirmation of my refund.

We always shop at Hillary Spar, but this Sunday we went to withdraw some cash from the teller and therefore had to purchase few items. After waiting at our cashier's till for about 6 minutes, we were told there's no cash at her till so we were moved to another till (no.2) Where we had to wait behind the cashier as there was a customer already at the till. Cashier 2 saw us waiting and when the customer had finished we reminded her that we were still waiting to which she rep**** that we needed to follow the queue and we reminded her that we were sent to her from another till where we also waited for while (and our previous casher did mention to her that we were coming to her). she insisted that we join the queue all over again and that she can't assist us. We left the items behind exited the shop. The casher at till 2 was rude and arrogant and never once understood that we were waiting for over 10 minutes in total.

I bought a platter for Christmas lunch from them and it was fantastic! Everything was fresh and perfect. I have had bad experiences before so this was refreshing. Thank you for the amazing experience.
