Good day I would just like to share my bad experience with hino pinetown ,as I have already been reading pathetic reviews about there product . So being the owner of a Mitsubishi fuso Wich never once gave me a problem to purchasing a brand new hino 5 ton with endless problems that cost much more than the fuso . First of all I would like to say your salesman Cecil welldone to you you did go out of you way to assist me . So initially when the truck was purchased the gears where difficult to select and brakes made a huge noise I informed my salesman he did say we should use it the gears ect will soften and the truck will bed itself , I did agree with him bearing in mind I am in the motor car industry for 15 years , as he said the gears did eventually at around 2300km ease up thou the noise was still there on the brakes and suspension I did continue to use the truck I did inform my salesman he said I should bring it through that Monday . On Sunday night we where called out to assist on an accident scene by an Insurnace company as we loaded the vehicle onto my truck I then switched the truck off and spoke to the saps on scene so he could get my details embarrassingly the truck refused to start being a brand new truck with under 3000km I humiliatingly called help Wich was there in 20mins and they advised me the battery’s are flat I’m further inspection the had informed me the batteries are swollen I did have a look and agreed with them . In any event I got my truck back to the yard , the next day we got it cleaned and as soon as I was free on that very same Thursday I took it into hino pinetown . A very polite guy by the name of Terrence kept calling my manager informing him of all the issues . 1. The rear brakes where over adjusted . 2. The front suspension link needed adjustment . 3 . The batteries are defective . We did agree for all of that to be sorted out hence the truck is still new doing Now around 3000km why would there be so many defects . On that very same Friday my manager is informed that the truck batteries are defective and they are putting a claim through . After an hour the gentleman phones my manager to say your truck is ready for pickup nothing was wrong with the batteries driving 180km round trip with my driver my fuel and obviously my vehicle went to pickup the truck . On the way back the brakes started making a noise again the driver informed me I did tell him to stop at petro port to fuel up and here the problem starts , the truck refuses to start again I did try calling hino pinetown after the 7th attempt got put through a guy by the name of Caz very very arrogantly said that the technician is on his way . After a long wait here they arrived technician says I told Caz these batteries are defective it will not work . Toyota such a big brand playing marbles taking chances ? What would that say about there product . The technician further removed the battery cover and puts it in the truck scratching the lower dashboard . I then questioned why did the batteries swell up like this it could have exploded I then looked at the batteries there was a designer floor from factory of the clams that the bracket blocked off the breather on the batteries Wich they used an angle grinder to cut a slot into it . Welldone Toyota is this the kind of workmanship we can expect from you . The technician then informed me this supposed to be done on the PDI . I spoke to the guy name Caz again he informed me that it’s not his problem the batteries are under warranty with battery Centre . My question is did I buy the truck from battery Centre how does this become my problem ,I proceeded to calling customer care explained the events that took place and up until today I have not got any feedback this is the 7th day going . Who pays my down time who pays my driver that is doing nothing ? For a truck that’s doing only 3000km so many faults can you imagine once it does get older . I would like to further more say I would never buy another Toyota product again . My attorneys are busy dealing with this matter .
