I contact them to repair a refrigerator, they sent out a technician, the technician came to site and tested the appliance and then advised once he replaces the starter, capacitor and relay, the appliance will work, I paid for the full repair, as they requested upfront payment, they then sent the technician back after I made several calls , he came back and then he was watching YouTube videos to wire the new parts which led me to believe that he was not qualified to be repairing refrigerators ,then when he switched it on the parts blew up and the technician said he will come back with new parts he then came back with new parts and the appliance did not work, they office said they will send another technician where he had diagnosed the compressor was shorted he then I will be contacted by the office for a quote for the compressor when it was not initially faulty only after the incorrect wiring had the compressor blown. The office never contacted me again. They don't answer calls and only communicate via email and Whatsapp. When I requested a refund as there was no repair or parts supp****, the owner said he will be happy to explain to a judge why he will not refund me. After researching the coming I will never recommend anyone using this company. Never pay them until the repair is completed or else they will just **** you. The address on the invoice and there actual business address does not correspond as the business is run from a residential property garage. All their positive reviews are from the owner himself.

Absolutely appalling service and lies fed to you all the way through! The positive review here is from the owner himself. In January this year we approached this company to repair one issue with our just out of warranty washing machine. Besides not fixing it over a period of delays over 2 months of back and forth, it got dented and scratched and the bottom was **********, and incorrect parts put on including a mouldy rim. Testing took place at my home as the technician said they didn’t have water at their workshop. Some of my clothes were then also damaged.

I originally called HMA Appliances to repair an oven and they were great- super helpful, quick, no issues. They mentioned they could fix other appliances, so since I had a led light and a TV that had just broken and out of warranty, I figured why not. That was months ago… September 2024 Since then, I’ve called, I’ve been polite, I’ve followed up, I’ve been promised it’ll be returned… and nothing. Now my calls are being ignored or rejected. At this point, I feel like I have no choice but to put this out there- not to be petty, but to warn people. So if you’re thinking about using HMA Appliances, just be careful. I don’t want anyone else getting messed around the way I have.

Whether you're a private or commercial client - do not waste your time, effort and money on these *****s from Glenwood HMA Appliance Repairs Durban. They dont know what they are doing - will only damage your fridge more as they charge you for their unskilled trial and error process to ****** more money from you - and have 0 customer service competencies. They will not show for almost every appointment - neither call you or message you to reschedule - leaving you to constantly spend your time and effort chasing them for work they promised to do but dont and cant. The so called manager Leigh - is a piece of work to say the least... Zero consideration for customer or professionalism - they are quick to activate the sale and then that it is - you have fallen for their **** with no fridge repair competencies and zero customer service communication or follow through. This company will ***** your money, leave you with a broken fridge for 2 months since they started working on it, with no care for the customer and their family (with kids). If you're an insurance provider - avoid relying on these guys.
