I contact them to repair a refrigerator, they sent out a technician, the technician came to site and tested the appliance and then advised once he replaces the starter, capacitor and relay, the appliance will work, I paid for the full repair, as they requested upfront payment, they then sent the technician back after I made several calls , he came back and then he was watching YouTube videos to wire the new parts which led me to believe that he was not qualified to be repairing refrigerators ,then when he switched it on the parts blew up and the technician said he will come back with new parts he then came back with new parts and the appliance did not work, they office said they will send another technician where he had diagnosed the compressor was shorted he then I will be contacted by the office for a quote for the compressor when it was not initially faulty only after the incorrect wiring had the compressor blown. The office never contacted me again. They don't answer calls and only communicate via email and Whatsapp. When I requested a refund as there was no repair or parts supp****, the owner said he will be happy to explain to a judge why he will not refund me. After researching the coming I will never recommend anyone using this company. Never pay them until the repair is completed or else they will just **** you. The address on the invoice and there actual business address does not correspond as the business is run from a residential property garage. All their positive reviews are from the owner himself.
Had a bad experience with them, I purchased boards to do a kitchen, went to pick up the boards in town where they cut to size, all didn't fit on one load, then I came back the next day to collect the rest of the boards , the boards were gone, and the staff advised if my name wasn't on it they can't help me and walked away. Terrible attitude from staff. Then they said they will call me as soon as they locate the measurements of board I was short on , they never called.
I purchased two Motorola G05 phones cash from HiFi Corp (Springfield branch). At the time of purchase, I was told it was “government law” that every phone must be sold with a SIM card. I was forced to RICA and pay for two Telkom starter packs, which appeared as separate line items on my receipt. I later contacted HiFi Corp customer service and received a call back from a representative, who again confirmed this false claim and promised to send me an email stating the “law.” No email was ever sent. In store, staff opened my sealed device packaging and inserted SIM cards after telling me this was necessary for activation. I only consented because of this misleading advice. In reality, there was no need for the SIMs to be inserted at all, and my phones were intended as gifts — which meant they should never have been unpackaged without a valid reason. What is actually happening is that retailers receive commission from networks for SIM activations, but the consumer foots the bill for the starter packs — often without needing or ever using them, especially if they are simply swapping their old SIM into the new device. When I returned to the store and pointed out that no such law exists, I was finally refunded and the SIMs were destroyed in front of me. There is no law in South Africa requiring a handset to be sold with a SIM card. ICASA only regulates that devices must be ICASA-approved, and RICA applies only to SIM cards. Forcing unnecessary SIM sales, misleading customers with false “government law” claims, and opening sealed devices under false pretences are violations of the Consumer Protection Act, Section 41 (misrepresentation). Although I eventually received a refund, this was only after unnecessary frustration and misinformation. Customers should be warned not to fall for the same unfair sales tactic.
I purchased two Motorola G05 phones cash from HiFi Corp (Springfield Durban branch). During the sale, I was told it was “government law” that every phone must be sold with a SIM card, and I was forced to RICA and pay for two Telkom starter packs. This was misleading, as the starter packs appeared as separate line items on my receipt, which I only noticed afterwards. There is no law in South Africa requiring a device to be sold with a SIM card. ICASA only regulates that devices must be ICASA-approved, and RICA applies to SIM cards only. Forcing a SIM onto a customer is a misrepresentation under the Consumer Protection Act, Section 41. After escalating, I was refunded and the SIMs were destroyed in front of me. While I appreciate that the matter was resolved, I find it unacceptable that I was misled in the first place, and I want other customers to be aware so they are not subjected to the same unfair sales tactic.
I purchased a service kit. The parts were received in less than 24 hours after ordering. Excellent online company for vehicle parts purchases.
