Hi, I went to Hollywood at Springfield today to order breakfast. I tried ordering on the WhatsApp firstly however there was no response. I decided to go into the store, I ordered 5 breakfast and 1 quarter beans bunny. The lady that took my order advised me that it will be ready in 10 to 15 minutes. I waited around 35 minutes and the food was still not ready. I spoke to a manager on duty(didn't get his name however he was a thin Indian man with glasses), he checked the time the order was placed and apologized for the delay. I asked him to cancel my order which he did and than asked me to pay for the drinks. I advised him that I already paid so why must I pay again. He than Apologized again. This is now 1 hour and my food is still not ready. I had a doc appointment at 11am which by now I am late. I asked the manager how long will delivery take and he said it normally takes 1 hour but the driver is there and he will send it now. To my surprise I came home at 12pm and the food was still not delivered. The food only came at 12:15pm. This is absolutely poor service, over 2 hours for breakfast. I had visitors over from Gauteng. I am disappointed with the service I received from the Hollywood take away at the Greyville Racecourse. Upon entry, my family and I sat at a table, my husband went to the bar counter to place an order, as this was the only counter that was serving. He was told that someone will come serve our table. 10 minutes later, no one assisted. He then went back to the counter to remind the staff, again, he was told someone will come assist us. Another 15 minutes later, no assistance. So I went to the counter, I greeted the barman, he ignore me. The gentleman next to me said to the barman, the bar is busy yet only one barman, so as the barman was preparing another customer's drink order, I told him that we've been waiting +/-30 minutes ( bear in mind, there weren't any staff on the floor) and no one assisted as you said that they would. He totally ignored me! I then asked him " why are you ignoring me? “he still continued to ignore me. As I was walking away, I over heard the gentleman that was standing next to say to him" please assist that lady's table, she was waiting a long time " that's when a waitress came to our table. She took our order, I asked to speak to the manager. He came to our table, I explained what had happened. He apologized. The waitress came back another 10 minutes later with our beverages, she said that our food will be ready soon. Another 15 minutes later she came back to let us know, that they are out of bread. The bread will be delivered from Argyle road. At this point I was ****ed. So was my husband and the rest of my family. This boils down to poor service, poor management. How can the manager not know that there is no stock of bread? Does he not manage his staff ensuring that the establishment is well taken care of as well as his customers?. The establishment wasn't busy, only a few tables were occupied. So being busy should not be an excuse because they weren't busy.

Absolutely pathetic. Incompetent staff. Had to wait 45 minutes for breakfast to be served and I ended up leaving with no refund which is not the first time. Manager refused to come forward and sent the trainee manager which was off no help at all. The worst "takeaway" in Springfield Park.
