From the beautiful ads we saw on TV, buying a house through homebid seemed to be the best decisions ever. After my bond was approved, the company that they appointed to my transfer (Segwapa Inc) I am left with regret and resentment. Never in my life have i experienced such a magnitude of pathetic service and to top it all, Homebid is nowhere available to either comment, support or show any sense of care. I am today at the brink of being homeless.

The transfer of my property started in May with the acceptance of an offer to purchase and to this day it has not been finalized. I sent a complain and was promised they will contact me and they have not done so to this day.

Firstly the lower commission ad is a lie read the terms and conditions before signing!, secondly they will take months if not years to complete the sale so if you are looking to buy and move in shortly after that good luck with that as it wont happen they use these attorneys who will delay the matter and cost you money as they will request clearance figures (you will pay more then 1000 for the municipal rates figures) they suck in handling sales !!!!!!

I had a really bad service over the weekend from HomeBid. Here's how it all started. I saw an ad on property24 advertised by HomeBid, I liked the property so i sent an email to the advertising agent to give me more information about the property and hopefully arrange viewing. The agent (Sibongile Singcu) got back to me via email with the time slots available for viewing. I replied with an email confirming what slot is suitable for me, With hopes to get a confirmation email for this. Three days go by and I haven't received any further communications from the agent, so i decide to call the agent (Sibongile). She admits that she had forgotten about it and thanked me for reminding her. She then sends confirmation email to me, the owner of the property, and another Agent (Casey Van Der Poll) from the same agency (HomeBid), and the tenant. Bare in mind that this confirmation email is on the same day as the viewing. I asked to leave my work an hour early so i can make it to the viewing on time. 15 minutes before the agreed upon time, I try to call Casey, She answers the phone and hangs up. I then got a text from her saying that her phone has mic issues she'll get back to me in three hours. I then decided to try to contact Sibongile and the tenant, after several attempts , they both did not answer their phones. An hour goes buy, I then called Casey so she can give me the owner's contact details.During this call I explained to Casey what the situation was and all she said was "Oh My God.... Uhmm lets rather cancel the appointment then". Now, bare in mind that I drove from Randburg to Braamfontein and she tell me to cancel this appointment. I then asked for the owner's contact details, tried calling him instead, he also did not take my calls. I'm writing this review today and I still have not received any communication from them. I don't know if HomeBid does this to all it's clients or they treat clients differently based on how much the property is worth, or they just don't care. So if you are looking to buy Property, and also looking for goods service, then I suggest you look scroll past HomeBid Ads.
