Honda Pinetown has to be the biggest disappointment to the automobile industry. After relocating to KZN last year, we had our 2019 CRV serviced there, for the first time since relocation from Gauteng and amazing service from Honda Eastgate. They botched their first attempt on our vehicle by not resetting the service light, which we noticed when the service interval reminder did not warn us that the car was due for service. They botched the second service, when the service interval reminder came on, upon arrival home roughly 9 km from their dealership. I had to rebook our vehicle so they could tend to their inefficiency. Roughly 5000 kms later, my wife is an accident on the freeway, in peak traffic. First off, the anti collision did not kick in as is supposed to and usually does. This is a safety feature that all Honda salesmen we've encountered are proud to emphasize. On top of this, non of the warning lights came on, even though the object in her direct path was sizeable - took up the width of the lane.Upon leaving work 3 hours later to report the incident at the nearest police station, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, with the following lights - ACC and both crash detection warning lights. Clearly a delayed reaction to the crash. Both attempts at trying to contact the relevant department at Honda Pinetown went unanswered after the receptionist rerouted her. In our opinion, the "exclusive" branding ended once the vehicle left the showroom floor. I have never been more disappointed in Honda, after being loyal to the brand for over two decades
