Very disappointed with the promises sizwe hosmed are making but not keeping up to….I was promised a response for the whole 2 months each and every week its a different promises last time I was promised a response from their finance as to why my MSA is not being paid out.

I just joined this scheme is June but ever since I joined they bring headache to me. Debit order date is only first of every month, I then requested for stop order instead of waiting for that date, they agreed and approve. I went to the bank to set stop order but each and every month these guys terminate my medical aid without even notifying me of what happened. Their reason is that I did not pay whereas stop order went off and the details for stop order I got it from them. I must always needed to contact them to fix errors, even now as we speak they are sitting with unpaid claims, they refuse to pay hospital and requesting unnecessary information from me like clinical history and claim history. They feel like I did not disclose all the details about me, they have a feeling a have chronic whereas I don’t have it. Terrible medical aid this one yerrrrrr.

Hosmed medical scheme do changes on customers different plans but don't inform the clients with chronic medication ,when changes are done new scripts are requested ,inform customer patients who have chronic medications on their profiles !customers are paying thousands of rands for this pathetic service and has to phone Hosmed to ask what is the problem ,even with authorisations for procedures are way down due to high costs .it's as if this mefical sceme is pocketing more money and just take the claim .how many double claims had been paid out unneccary?

Treatment in August still not paid at end of October despite authorisation below. Dr now wants to hand me over to the credit bureau. Bad services received. All paper work was completed and submitted six weeks ago and yet by dependent has not yet added. Every week its calls after calls and yey no one seems to be able to do their work correctly. Rather choose another medical aid as this medical aid and its staff working there are clearly incompenent.

My wife was admitted to the Donald Gordon Medical Center in December 2021. Her stay was extended and despite the fact that the Professor gave a motivation for this and received an authorization for this, Sizwe Hosmed has still not paid the amount of R14000 which is for the additional days. My medical aid membership number is 04301177267

Horrible experience, my son is autistic Neorologist developed a treatment plan for my son, they won't pay even for his respirdal medication I'm on Value plan second best. I'm soo gonna cancel this medical aid. Filed a claim but it's takes months to be processed. You sit on the call for 10 minutes only to be transfered from one service consultant to the next. Hosmed will lose customers for poor service 😢
