Currently unable to sleep. Theres an event upbon the 5th floor restaurant above. The loud t******* music that shakes the whole building. No consideration for guests. Time is 10pm. No sleep until it finishes, I guess. To think I had come here specifically to distress. Money wasted for sure.

I arrived at the hotel on Wed, 10 Sept. My room seemingly had an issue with WiFi, as my connection when using my laptop was very slow. I even struggled to order an Uber or UberEats, when my phone was connected to WiFi. They told me to try another WiFi connection - but it too was unstable. I went down to reception to let them know and an IT person came up, tried both the WiFi spots, found that they were poor and then set it up so I could connect to the WiFi that smart TV was connected to. That was stable and worked. Coming back from work this evening, arriving at 18:15, I got to my room and tried to connect my laptop to the same WiFi I was connected to yesterday, that worked. But now it wasn't showing up. At 18:30, I went downstairs to reception to let them know to send a technician upstairs ASAP as I had a call at 19:00. No-one came up. I went downstairs again at 18:45 to let them know. They said they'd send someone up quick. 18:55 came round and no-one had come upstairs. In my room at that time, I then called them AGAIN - meaning I let them know for a THIRD time within 40 minutes that my WiFi needed sorting out urgently. Did they sort it? No. Meaning I have had to postpone a work call I needed to have on Teams, because of their terrible WiFi. By 19:13, no-one had arrived still. DO NOT STAY AT HOTEL SKY IF YOU INTEND TO GO THEIR FOR BUSINESS OR EVEN A LEISURE STAY, IF YOU WILL NEED WIFI. OR EVEN DECENT SERVICE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I've been really disappointed with the WiFi situation at this hotel. For the past two days, I've tried to get it resolved, but the process has been incredibly frustrating. There are no phones in the rooms, so you're forced to use the hotel app—which frequently glitches due to the very WiFi issues you're trying to report. For a business hotel, this is unacceptable. Reliable internet is the bare minimum, especially for guests who need to work. This experience has made my stay unnecessarily stressful.

Thumbs up to staff at Hotel Sky in Sandton the fantastic service experienced during my stay twice at the hotel in December. Not only did they allowe me to check in early at 11amas my flight landed early but they also changed my rooms when I was unhappy with the lightening in my initial room. The gentleman at the front desk took me around to 5 different rooms in 5 different floors and I could choose which one was the nicest for me with the best view of sandton outside. Thank you for the lovely variety of breakfast it was definitely something to look forward to daily. The staff is fantastic well done to everyone!

I was there over the long weekend. Everything was going well until my friend and I went out for the day, and when we got back, our food had been eaten. I’m assuming it was the cleaning staff but this really upset me. At this point I don’t know if that’s the only thing they stole. Absolutely unprofessional

I have been ****** of my refund , the reservation was cancelled on booking.com, when enquired Sandton Skye hotel advises that they cannot refund as they have completed the booking..but it was cancelled in booking.com They do not want to refund me and this is like theft. For a hotel of this calibre it is embarrassing and this is likely to happen to others. I want refund as this is like theft because I did not check in at all and cancelled it where they have completed the booking. 0648063808

We love dining at all the restaurants at Hotel Sky however the service of all staff when making a booking and service is appalling. We’ve booked numerous times and staff are in such a rush to make the booking that they don’t take down contact details correctly. In the past our table was also given to someone else on arrival. The Eclipse Restaurant specifically never picks up the calls when reception puts you through. Again this morning I made a booking. I saw that all my details were incorrect. I called to correct the details so that the table is reserved as I’ve already made payment. The receptionist spoke over me whilst I was giving the correct details & the call was ended before she took down all the details.
