This company does not do business in good faith. They are advertising off plan cluster home development in Bedfordview, Jhb. They show you plans and get you to sign a letter of intent and to pay a holding deposit, which states clearly that if you change your mind you will be refunded your deposit. David Law is the supposed CEO and Senior Project Manager. In my case I decided to change my mind which is perfectly acceptable as per the Consumer Protection Act and other legislation. I did not sign any other documents because the document back supplied to me, when reviewed by my attorney already picked up major red flags, such as the company being in a deregistration process due to the failure to supply financial statements. Repeated attempts to obtain refunds were met with excuses about the money being in a 32 day call account and then after that time elapsed he became aggressive and even sent an email claiming he would be arrogant etc. He delivered no service and I am yet to understand where a developer gets paid in advance for delivering absolutely nothing. You do the work and supply then you get paid, it doesn't work the other way around. Sales people get paid when there is a successful sale, not for the time spent, especially where none of this is disclosed upfront. He is also working in kahoots with Dormehl Phalane in Benoni and Marnus van der Merwe Architects. I would recommend being very careful and rather place any monies in a trust account with an attorney if you decide to deal with this person and their company.
