This company is having their name dragged along in conjunction with a company called HPD Construction and a fellow named David Law. David's wife Magda is apparently involved in the Dormehl franchise in Benoni as a Sales Manager. When looking at the addresses for HPD and Dormehl Benoni they seem to share the same address. This estate agency is somehow involved in in some way where they advertise a cluster home development in Bedfordview, Jhb on Property 24. HPD Construction is supposedly doing the development. David Law, the developer, shows you plans done by Marnus van der Merwe Architects and gets you to sign a letter of intent and to pay a holding deposit, which states clearly that if you change your mind you will be refunded your deposit. In my case I decided to change my mind which is perfectly acceptable as per the Consumer Protection Act and other legislation. I did not sign any other documents because the document pack supplied to me, when reviewed by my attorney already picked up major red flags, such as HPD Construction being in a deregistration process due to their failure to supply annual financial statements. Repeated attempts to obtain refunds were met with excuses about the money being in a 32 day call account and then after that time elapsed he became aggressive and even sent an email claiming he would be arrogant etc. These estate agents delivered no real service to me, apart from supplying a draft sale agreement. I am yet to understand how they can claim that they did a significant amount of work for that would require them to be paid. Estate agents are paid after a sale is completed, not before. David Law claims, using an invoice from Marnus van der Merwe architects, that a significant amount of work and time was spent by him working on the potential sale to me. This is absolutely untrue and I have all the info in black and white to support this. Please be careful when entering into a transaction with Dormehl in Benoni and be really circumspect and place your money in an attorney's trust account instead.
This company is having their name dragged along in conjunction with a company called HPD Construction and a fellow named David Law. This architect does the drawings for a cluster home development in Bedfordview, Jhb, which HPD Construction is supposedly developing. Repeated attempts to obtain refunds were met with excuses about the money being in a 32 day call account and then after that time elapsed he became aggressive and even sent an email claiming he would be arrogant etc. These architects delivered no real service to me, apart from a small drawing change on an existing plan which would take no more then a few minutes to do. I am yet to understand how they can claim that they did a significant amount of work for me when they literally delivered a 5min drawing change. David Law claims, using an invoice of these architects, that a significant amount of work and time was spent making architectural changes at my request. This is absolutely untrue and I have all the info in black and white to support this. This company does not do business in good faith. They are advertising off plan cluster home development in Bedfordview, Jhb. They show you plans and get you to sign a letter of intent and to pay a holding deposit, which states clearly that if you change your mind you will be refunded your deposit. David Law is the supposed CEO and Senior Project Manager. In my case I decided to change my mind which is perfectly acceptable as per the Consumer Protection Act and other legislation. I did not sign any other documents because the document back supplied to me, when reviewed by my attorney already picked up major red flags, such as the company being in a deregistration process due to the failure to supply financial statements. Repeated attempts to obtain refunds were met with excuses about the money being in a 32 day call account and then after that time elapsed he became aggressive and even sent an email claiming he would be arrogant etc. He delivered no service and I am yet to understand where a developer gets paid in advance for delivering absolutely nothing. You do the work and supply then you get paid, it doesn't work the other way around. Sales people get paid when there is a successful sale, not for the time spent, especially where none of this is disclosed upfront. He is also working in kahoots with Dormehl Phalane in Benoni and Marnus van der Merwe Architects. I would recommend being very careful and rather place any monies in a trust account with an attorney if you decide to deal with this person and their company.
I recently interacted with this company to do some repairs on my vehicle. I found them on the internet and they were apparently part of Glasfit (division) which is reputable company. I called and asked them for a quote and was told to send pics of the damage. I sent three photos, two of the vehicle's right hand side front bumperf (side view and front view), and one of the right front fender. I received a quote which explicitly used the words that it was for the \total damage". The quote seemed good in comparison to other quotes I has received and I proceeded to make a booking. Last Wed (18/11/15)"
I am extremely disappointed at this supplier. They installed smash & grab and sell installation vouchers via Groupon. This particular vehicle was the third vehicle I have had done by them, with my previous installations being in Oct 2014 and two more recent ones. I was impressed with the work and the customer service ethic previously, however, it seems from their attitude that Solashayde are now prepared to lose a loyal customer.

They did an installation on my brand new car on Wed 30 Sep 2015. Whilst having my car washed on the afternoon of Sat 10 Oct, the car wash guy pointed out some damage to window rubbers and the drivers door panel trim. This was communicated to Jeff at Solashayde on Mon 12 Oct 2015. He committed to going out to inspect the damage at my home the next day, which he subsequently did.

I then heard nothing back from him. I called him on Fri morning 16 Oct 2015, to get some feedback. He then told me over the phone that he was speaking to the insurers and waiting for some quotes from VW. During this conversation the phone cut.

A few minutes later I then received an email informing me to contact the dealership and to get a response from them. Passing the buck
I am posting this on Hello Peter to make sure no other consumer has the same issue. I have been trying to deal with the used car department for the last two weeks without any success.

On Saturday the 9th of May 2015, I took delivery of a 2008 Jazz 1.5 Auto from this dealership. Prior to leaving, I was informed (by Bennie used car manager) that Craig (salesperson) would call me early the next week to do a follow up on whether I was satisfied with the vehicle or not and to rate the service. When driving the vehicle I immediately noticed a judder when taking off and as Bennie did say that Craig would call me early the next week, I did not call the dealership to report this.

This follow up call Bennie said I would get never happened.

I then discovered 3 additional issues after living with the car for a couple of days. This concerned me as I was now starting to doubt the vehicle. The issues are listed below:

1. Rear left window winder takes a long time to open/close
2. Squeaking rear brakes
3. Body polish and general cleanliness of the interior of the vehicle when taking delivery (which was paid for as part of the on the road costs)

Attempts to amicably resolve have been ignored
