I purchased a motor vehicle on 08 October 2025. From the date of collection, the vehicle has suffered from repeated, serious defects, including: Overheating and failure to start on the day of collection Extended loss of use of the vehicle, requiring multiple courtesy vehicles Paint deterioration shortly after delivery Gearbox malfunction resulting in the vehicle breaking down A subsequent full electronic failure Despite being afforded several opportunities to repair the vehicle, the defects have persisted. The vehicle is clearly not of good quality, not durable, and not fit for purpose, as required by the Consumer Protection Act. A request for a full refund was made after the first defect, however this was delayed and not honoured. The dealership has now attempted to return the vehicle despite it having been lawfully rejected. I am not prepared to accept any further repairs or replacement In terms of section 56(2)(a) of the Consumer Protection Act, I hereby elect a full refund of the purchase price. The sales person advised that he will refund me. The vehicle will be returned to the dealership and the rightful thing to do is to refund my money. I am a 63 year old widow and this sales team wanted to take advantage of my knowledge for cars and sold me a defective motor vehicle. Please guys do your homework before you buy any cars from them even if it means getting a diagnostic test.

Good day, I am writing to formally raise my concern regarding my Hyundai i10, which I purchased less than a year ago. Since the purchase, I have been experiencing ongoing issues with the vehicle. Despite repeatedly reporting these problems to the dealership, I have been advised that there is nothing wrong with the car. Currently, the power windows are no longer functioning, and the vehicle is also making unusual noises. These issues are extremely concerning, especially given that the car is still under a year old. A vehicle of this age should not be experiencing such persistent faults. I am highly dissatisfied with the condition of the vehicle and the lack of resolution provided thus far. I request that this matter be taken seriously and that a thorough inspection and appropriate repairs be carried out as a matter of urgency. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution. Kind regards, Thamesan Padayachee
