I purchased a preowned vehicle from Hyundai Somerset West. I was sold a dream and the vehicle had low mileage which is the reasons I purchased. By the time I got home from collection, I realised how defective the vehicle was. Sending the dealership a list of concerns on day 1 of ownership. After having the car seen to, completely broken parts were found as well as a whole list of other defects. I was spoken to with such disrespect by the dealer principal, Wolfe, and had to fight for any sort of correspondence from him as well as the manager Justin. They refused to refund, and I had to FIGHT to get some of the issues fixed. More and more kept needing to be repaired over time. By 16 weeks of ownership, the petrol gauge completely broke and I kept breaking down (ONE of the issues I reported from day one). I gave up trying to get a refund through MIOSA and the dealership and in the end, I lost a lot of money!!

Really happy with the amazing service from Hyundai Somerset West. Yesterday I took my car in for the service and it went great. From logging the service to working with the staff it is really world class. Big shout out goes to Riana from the vehicle servicing team for assisting me as well, she is a real STAR. I can definitely recommend Hyundai Somerset as the best Hyundai in Cape Town as I have been to many. My journey started with them when I worked with the BEST car salesperson ever Nic. Would definitely recommend that you get your Hyundai from Hyundai Somerset West, from Nic and have it serviced through Riana.

Really happy with the amazing service from Hyundai Somerset West. Yesterday I took my car in for the service and it went great. From logging the service to working with the staff it is really world class. Big shout out goes to Riana from the vehicle servicing team for assisting me as well, she is a real STAR. Coming from a corporate background and looking at the absolutely poor service delivery we all are experiencing these days, I deem it necessary to commend excellent customer service. Doing business with various companies, the service I get from Hyundai Somerset West is really outstanding. The two ladies at reception, Carron-Lee and Riani, surely know how to treat, and build good relationships with customers. They make one feels welcome with their extremely friendly- and helpfulness at all times. They are open and always keep the customer informed about whatever he needs to know regarding his business/ vehicle. I met the workshop foreman Heinrich, and same apply to him. I commend this Hyundai branch without any doubt whatsoever. Well done to the mentioned staff members! You surely make a difference in life! Keep it up and thank you!!

I have been taking my car to Hyundai Somerset West for years and this has to be the worst service I have ever received. About a month ago i called the dealership because I needed an evaluation on my car. They advised I speak to Justin Swarts. It took me 3 days to get a hold of him. I left messages and he never called back. Eventually when we spoke he asked me to whatsapp my details and he will send me the evaluation. I reached out 3 days later and he said that he sent to me but he was obviously lying. I have been following up with him twice every week and he has been ignoring me and blue ticking me on Whatsapp. I even emailed the dealer principal and he aswell has not gotten back to me. For Justin to provide a poor service is disgusting for a manager. You giving this branch a bad name. Anyway i will be taking my business to Hyundai in Stellenbosch.

My car went in for a full service in January 2023. Since then everything seemed fine with the car. I have driven the car for +- 2000km after it being serviced. Less then 5 months later. Turns out there is no oil in the cars engine. My question to Hyundai Somerset West is: How come there is no oil in the car but I paid for oil when the car went in for a service?

I would like to complain about the fact that I was misled by one of Hyundai's sales executives. We purchased a car in April 2021 which was bought on very low km's and the reason why we purchased the car because we had to trade in the other car due to the service being expired and the high maintenance it would've cost us at the end of the day. We purchased this new car, with a service plan "according to the sales executive", the deal went through etc etc. We were notified than on 45 000km we need to bring the car for the service, we contacted the service department and that is when we got the shock that the car does not have a service plan. I was ****ed off to say the least, because I mean, the sales executive told me that he can give me lesser price on the car because it includes a service plan etc etc. We contacted him for answers and up until today we haven't received any. The Branch manager was informed, it's been more than a month now and no one has contacted us, because it was said that they will investigate it. I wish I could give the car back to Hyundai, but it's going to affect us in the long run.
