My cat went missing yesterday. He slipped out his cillar but has an identipet chip and we registered his details on the app after the hip was placed (received the certificate for proof registration). I logged in yesterday to report him missing only to find that no pets are registered under my name. Then I tried to register him only to be given an error message that the same chip can't be registered twice. And Identipet is closed until Monday. So, if anyone finds him, they cant trace the chip back to us. And we can't register him as missing through Identipet. So what's the point of having a chip? Don't bother. Use a different service provider.

I have been trying to register cat since May 2025. I have emailed, response is pathetic as it is not solving my request/ complaint. My email which was registered shows that it is not valid, yet my cell number says already taken. The response on portal is just as useless when replying. which is registered on my dog .

Wanted to update my phone number on the app just to see that it's no longer in use. Cannot import my pet details on the website because I cannot receive OTP since I no longer have access to the old number. Sent an email, no help. Whatsapp is also useless because the link they provide says site can't be reached. Tried to add it myself and was told the chip number is already in use. How am I suppose to get my pet on my profile??? I am not paying R89 for a real person to help because they decide to discontinue apps and send useless links to update details. Extremely bad service and regret having my pet chipped with a non existing service. Would never ever recommend and advise that you insist your vet to chip with another provider.

We are an animal welfare and very unfortunately we have no choice but to deal with your shocking service!! I am now sick of not being able to manage the microchips on our profile!! You REALLY REALLY REALLY need to look at what your competitors are doing.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received from Identipet. Despite fulfilling my part of the agreement and making monthly payments as required, there has been no progress or satisfactory outcome. I have contacted the team multiple times to resolve this issue, but I am yet to receive the money owed to me or any clear communication regarding the status of my case. The lack of transparency and accountability is frustrating and unacceptable.
