I moved out after 5 years in the same apartment and intentionally cut ties to avoid any further dealings with iGrow Rentals — yet my account has been mishandled long after I vacated. After taking over from IHSP Property Management, iGrow failed to manage the transition of my account properly and has since produced contradictory and inconsistent records. I paid rent consistently and on time for 5 years. Despite this, during the ownership transition, my payment was not correctly allocated and I was incorrectly listed as a non-payer on Tenant Profile Network (TPN). I disputed this listing, and TPN removed it due to lack of evidence. Instead of correcting the issue, iGrow has now re-listed the same account with a new alleged balance, despite clear documentation showing otherwise: IHSP’s final statement reflects a R14,334.94 credit transferred to iGrow iGrow continues to reflect the account as unpaid No move-out inspection was conducted at all Multiple follow-up emails requesting inspection feedback were ignored without response. I vacated on 31 January, yet iGrow only realised I had left on 10 February, after which they began scrambling to reconcile their own records This is not a minor administrative issue — it reflects ongoing failures in basic account management, competency skills, communication, and record accuracy. The gross negligence and handling of this matter by Bianca Bester and Machaela Stanley has involved repeated inconsistencies, unresolved discrepancies, and a complete lack of clarity on a supposedly closed account. Anyone considering renting or purchasing through iGrow should carefully review public complaints and recurring patterns with the people mentioned above before proceeding. Existing tenants should monitor their statements and TPN records constantly. This reflects a clear attempt at a cover-up to avoid accountability for repeated administrative failures.

If I could give no stars, I would. I moved out of my previous apartment on 26 January this year. I had been asking for the receipts in regards to repairs done after I moved out up until 1 April. Which they failed to provide me up to this day. Eventually, at the beginning of April, I gave up because I was getting ignored with no response, every time I sent an email I would get no answer and every call I made to the company. I was told that the person I needed to speak to was either on lunch or in a meeting. Eventually beginning of April I gave up and I signed the deposit form and just asked for my money. I was told that I would receive the refund in two weeks by 15 April. It is now two weeks past that date and I cannot get a hold of anyone in the company and I still not have been refunded my money. Considering the fact that I’ve also spoke to the new tenants in the property who has told me that the maintenance has not been done so they have billed me for repairs that have not even been done. But I gave up on that and they cannot even send me half of the money of what I should be getting. This company simply does not give a **** about anyone that they work with. It sounds like everyone in that office sits on their ass and takes lunch the whole day every day. I am always told that I will receive a call back and I never do. They take advantage of people and the fact that people do not have the money to bring on lawyers for everything especially small claims like this. This company should not even be running they should be shut down. They are all useless and I’ve left multiple reviews on here and I’ve never heard back from them after they say that they will contact me.

My name is Abongile, and I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my property purchased through IGrow in Bluerise Village, Bluedowns. I am extremely dissatisfied with both the condition of the property and the lack of response from your team. Despite sending numerous emails and attempting to make contact via Twitter, I have received no assistance or acknowledgement to date. This lack of communication is unacceptable. The condition of the house has deteriorated significantly within just two years of occupation. The floor tiles in the main bedroom and my child’s bedroom are lifting and dislodging. The situation has escalated to the point where the tiles are popping up unexpectedly, creating both a safety hazard and significant distress—particularly for my child, who is now too frightened to sleep in her room. Upon further inspection, it has become evident that the issue stems from poor workmanship by your appointed contractors. After removing some of the affected tiles, it is clear that insufficient adhesive was app**** during installation. In fact, in many areas of the house, the tiles sound hollow when stepped on, indicating widespread substandard work. This matter requires urgent attention. I expect IGrow to take full responsibility and arrange for a prompt inspection and permanent resolution of these defects. Please have a representative from your team contact me as a matter of urgency to address this issue. I trust that this complaint will be treated with the seriousness it deserves, and I look forward to your immediate response.

I vacated an IGrow Rentals property at the end of January 2024 and what followed was months of absolute frustration trying to get my rental deposit refunded. I was given the run around by portfolio managers, repeatedly promised payment “next week”, "next week"" and apologised to almost daily but with no action taken at all. I was even incorrectly charged for defects that were present when I moved into the unit. The experience was stressful, exhausting and completely unfair. Sometimes people do not realise how withholding money that rightfully belongs to someone can seriously disrupt and strain their financial life. But everything changed when Boitumelo Ramashaba took over my case as the new Porfolio Manager. From the moment she became involved, she was professional, kind, humble and genuinely understanding. Most importantly, she did not just apologise but she acted. She followed up consistently (not me), communicated clearly and did exactly what she said she would do. For the first time in months, there was real progress with my case. Today my deposit has finally been fairly refunded and I can confidently say that this only happened because of Boitumelo’s integrity and work ethic to doing the right thing. She restored my confidence that there are still people within companies who genuinely care and take ownership of their work. IGrow Rentals should seriously value and recognise her. Employees like Boitumelo make a real difference and she deserves full credit for resolving a situation that dragged on for far too long before she stepped in. 🙌🙂
