Living a Nightmare with Houss Property — They Don’t Care About Their Tenants

I’m writing this to warn anyone thinking of renting from Houss Property. Living here has been an absolute nightmare. The management clearly doesn’t care about their tenants — only about collecting rent.

For months, I’ve been complaining about the tenants in Apartment next to me who constantly play loud music, smoke ****, and have different people coming and going at all hours. The smell of **** fills the air every single day, and it comes straight into my unit.

I have a small baby, and my bedroom has no proper ventilation, yet I can’t even open the windows because of the constant smell of ****. It’s disgusting and unhealthy, but Houss Property has done nothing to fix this situation.

I was even told that the tenants would be moved out — that never happened. When I asked to move to a different unit myself, I was told I would need to submit a new application and pay almost R14,000, even though I already live here and had just paid R13,000 for rent on the 25th. How is a tenant expected to pay that much extra just to escape an unbearable living situation?

My daughter is also writing exams, and the constant noise, shouting, and smell have made it impossible for her to study or sleep. I’ve complained multiple times, but the management simply doesn’t care.

Houss Property’s lack of empathy and responsibility is shocking. If you value your peace, health, and safety — do not rent from Houss Property. Once they have your money, you are completely on your own.
