REFUSES TO RE-IMBUSE CLAIMS

Insuremed, refuses to reimburse me for shortfalls payment not covered by Bestmed Medical Aid.

During the period of Aug 2019 to Jan 20, I incurred medical expenses & I was totally unware of this, as these medical bills were e-mailed to my work e-mail address.

I only discovered these unpaid medical accounts, when I was handed over to Attorney’s for final payment & explained them reason’s for NON payment of accounts & I made arrangements with them, to make monthly payments per account, which was agreed upon.

Authoisation was granted by Bestmed, for every medical surgical procedure I underwent at Milpark hospital)

August 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer & went for mastectomy surgery to remove cancerous breast tissue.

November 2019, Dr Chauke recommended me going in for surgery to insert a “CHEMO PORT” reason being the nurses had difficulty tracing my veins during blood transfusions and chemo treatment.

5 December 2019, a blood vessel burst on my right thigh, I had to go in for an emergency operation.

For a period of six months during 2020, I was hospitalised at Milpark ,( right kidney packed up -chronic liver disease, I was totally dependent on care-giver.

July 2020: Urostomy & colostomy surgery

Dec 2020; Colostomy reversed

My urostomy is permanent.

I was finally discharged from hospital 31 Jan 21, I have disability issues due to my injuries.

Insuremed declined to pay my medical claims . I gave them detailed explanation’ & proof of hospitilisation as ALL unpaid accounts were e-mailed to my work e-mail address.
