Intercape I lost my parcel worth R11, 200 containing my nieces school clothes for her East London trip on the 28 May 2026 Waybill is ***5 On the 24th of May 2026 staff told me "Parcels fell from the bus". Now they saying "bus was under attack" and they refuse to pay.
They offered me R1000 +R180 refund refund as "Gesture of goodwill" and claim their waybill waives all claims. This is ********. Section 51 of the Consumer Protection Act says the CANNOT waive liability for gross negligence. Losing children's school items my foune is gross of negligence. I formally rejected R1000 and Demand full R11, 200 by 4th of June 2026. These were urgent items for a minor. R1000 doesn't cover one tracksuit. Their story keeps changing and they won't provide for the Alleged "Attack"
I have Escalated to the National Consumer Commission.
Intercape, pay for the goods you lost. "GOODWILL" does not replace legal liability.
