Intercape I lost my parcel worth R11, 200 containing my nieces school clothes for her East London trip on the 28 May 2026 Waybill is 01716735 On the 24th of May 2026 staff told me "Parcels fell from the bus". Now they saying "bus was under attack" and they refuse to pay.
They offered me R1000 +R180 refund refund as "Gesture of goodwill" and claim their waybill waives all claims. This is ********. Section 51 of the Consumer Protection Act says the CANNOT waive liability for gross negligence. Losing children's school items my foune is gross of negligence. I formally rejected R1000 and Demand full R11, 200 by 4th of June 2026. These were urgent items for a minor. R1000 doesn't cover one tracksuit. Their story keeps changing and they won't provide for the Alleged "Attack"
I have Escalated to the National Consumer Commission.
Intercape, pay for the goods you lost. "GOODWILL" does not replace legal liability.
