So today I boarded a bus with my little brother and my Dad (speech impaired). The bus was from Bethlehem to Thaba Nchu, both in the Free State. The driver stopped at a Ficksburg garage and by then we did not need to use the toilet or buy anything. Usually over these years, in my experience the drivers will communicate with passengers by informing them which places they would make a stop. Others don't say anything, however they would stop both at the Ficksburg garage and also stop at Clocolan. So today's driver left me and my brother at Clocolan. He saw many busses parked in at Clocolan and decided to leave anyway. My Dad says he tried to inform the driver that there are passengers left behind. But that was just a futile exercise.
Long story short. We had to pay for hiking (asking for a lift) and had to pay for the lift from a stranger. Clocolan - Thaba Nchu. I managed to communicate to the Dispatch employees and they guaranteed the driver would pay us the money we had used for the lift. But the driver got there all rude (IBL offices) and said he won't give any refund portion because he would've still refused for us to go out even if we asked. Obviously he doesn't care about our health/whether had to buy something. Clearly the problem was miscommunication between the driver and I. The other employees were so helpful. The driver was outstandingly rude. I hope his children get to experience something worse than this ????
