The fridge that I bought in August 2015 compressor packed up in January 2025. I did not have the original reciept but was able to get the store to provide when I bought it. This was not good enough for Samsung so I had to pay for the replacement compressor. Samsung sent their approved service provider to do the work, Inyathi, where before they would do the replacement I had to pay R4310 which was done on Tuesday 28 January 2025. It took them a while to return and replace the compressor, think it was either the Monday or Tuesday being either the 3rd or 4th February. On Saturday 17 May 2025 I noticed that the frozen food was defrosted where I logged thsi with the Samsung call centre on Monday 19 May 2025. I was told agin that if I could provide proof of purchase then the fidge was under warinty, I said this was an argumentin the past. I have now been told that the work carried out and the replacement compressor have a three month garantee and that I need to pay for the workmanship as well as all parts. I let the lady on the phone know that this is just over three months where I was told there is not grace for this. Does Samsung think I am going to pay another R4600, the new quote. This would mean in the last three months and few days I have paid R8910 and by the service and parts provided probably have to do the same in the next 3 odd months.
