Bought 3 bunnies in end December and was upset to find out aside from it been 145 each for a quarter mutton bunny buy it was so salty When you pay so much money you expect your money's worth..this was such a **** as they don't answer their calls .I have everything only phone and in 1 bunny,it had 3 small pieces meat and 4 potatoes and dry bread Don't support island Hotel..they are terrible service and customer satisfaction.

Good day i bought a tub of prswn curry and rice which was a takr away at a price of R160. The prawn were 3 tiny pieces s****ped from maybe the previous day which was new year. It tasted like it was soaked in water then dumped in the chutney without any sslt or seasoning. The rice was plain which very unappealing. No salt as well. J was so disgusted by this that i decided to publish this so that the poor are not misled and ******. You guys are daylight ******s with no morals in what the public has to say about your business... I went to Island Hotel to buy supper from the takeaway area. The waitress swiped my card 4 times and insisted that the card had been declined all 4 times. However, the money in fact left my account at every swipe. Upon emailing the restaurant a few days later, they accepted fault but took 3 weeks to refund me the incorrect amount of money. So 4 weeks later I still have not been refunded my dues and am getting no response from the hotel regarding the outstanding monies. I am absolutely disgusted by the customer service I received. The Hotel consists of a bunch of thieves and very unprofessional individuals.

I PURCHASED 3 X1/4 MUTTON BUNNIES ON SUNDAY FROM ISLAND HOTEL ISIPINGO. WHEN I WENT HOME TO EAT THE CURRY HAD A BURNT AND BITTER TASTE, SEEMS LIKE THEY SC****D THE BOTTOM OF THE POT AND GAVE ME. I WAS FURIOUS SO I CALLED THE HOTEL THE SAME TIME TO LET THEM KNOW AND THERE WAS NO RESPONSE. THE NEXT DAY I CALLED THE HOTEL AND SPOKE TO THE KITCHEN MANAGER NAMED KRIBEN NAIDOO, HE APPOLOGISED AND OFFERED ME A REPLACEMENT MEAL AND I TOLD HIM THAT I DONT STAY IN THE AREA SO I ASKED HIM IF I CAN HAVE A REFUND AND HE SAID YES AND I MUST SEND HIM MY BANKING DETAILS WHICH I DID, HE SAID BY 11AM THE ACCOUNS PERSON WILL BE IN. CAME TO AFTER 11AM NOTHING DONE SO I CALLED HIM AND HE SAID THE PERSON THAT WAS TO DO IT WILL COME TOMOORROW AND SHE HAS FAMILY ISSUES, I ASKED HIM IF HE CANT DO A CASH DEPOSIT THEN, HE SAID OK HE WILL DO IT. WAITED THE ENTIRE DAY AND NOTHING WAS DONE...... KRIBEN IS JUST A LIAR. I THEN CALLED AGAIN THAT AFTERNOON AND SPOKE TO PUME, SHE CONTACTED THE OWNER AND SHE TOLD ME THAT THE OWNER MR PATHER SAID HE WILL DO MY REFUND THE NEXT DAY BY 1.30PM SO I AGREED. THE NEXT DAY CAME I RECEIVED A CALL FROM AN ARROGANT PERSON NAMED NATASHA , SHE SAID SHE IS THE GM OF ISLAND HOTEL. SHE CALLS ME WITH AN ATTITUDE AND ASK ME 3 DAYS LATER TO BRING THE FOOD BACK, WHICH PERSON IN THE RIGHT MIND WILL KEEP THE FOOD FOR SO LONG IN THEIR FRIDGE. I GOT VERY UPSET WITH HER FOR EVEN ASKING ME THIS SILLY QUESTION, SHE SEEMS LIKE SHE HAS ALOT OF PERSONAL PROBLEMS AND PHYSOCOLOGICAL ISSUES WHICH SHE IS BRINGING INTO THE BUSSINESS AND AFFECTING THE CUSTOMERS. i SPOKE TO PUME AGAIN AND SHE ADVISED THAT MY EFT WILL BE DONE BY MR PATHER WHEN HE GETS IN. UP TO NOW NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE, I HAVE MADE OVER 50 CALLS AND PUME OR MR PATHER DOES NOT RETURN MY CALLS. THEY ARE MAKING ALL THE STAFF LIE WHEN I CALL. THIS IS NOT GOOD BUSSINESS ETHICS FROM A RESTAURANT. UP TO NOW MR PATHER HAS NOT CALLED TO APPOLOGISE OR TO FIND OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED . ITS A SMALL AMOUNT TO REFUND BUT IT SEEMS LIKE ISLAN HOTEL WANTS TO ROB THEIR CUSTOMERS OVER THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY. I AM GOING TO ESCALATE THIS MATTER FURTHER TO THE HIGHEST AUTHORITIES REGARDING THIS RESTAURANT. I ADVISE PEOPLE NOT TO GO THERE AND SUPPORT THIS BUSSINESS, PLEASE BE AWARE OF SUCH A BUSSINESS LIKE THIS, IF THE STAFF CAN LIE THE WAY THEY HAVE BEEN LYING TO ME THEY CANNOT BE TRUSTED WITH PREPARING YOUR FOOD OR WITH YOUR BELONGINGS WHEN YOU STAY THERE. I was kept awake last night between 22:00 and 5:00 by a ********** in the room next door. Tonight I ordered samoosas from the restaurant for R35. They refused to charge it to the room or accept card payment for under R50. I was forced to walk all the way back to my room & fetch cash. If I didn't have cash I would not get my food since there is no ATM on site. Extremely poor customer service & bad management

We had our staff dinner here and it was really unexpected in terms of variety, quality of food and ambiance. Best is that it is right on the beach and safe. As a takeaway I ordered their bunny chow. They filled it with extra meat and gravy and I was really taken aback with their service as it was certainly above average. They also provide for functions and have lovely events.
