Jaguar Land Rover South Africa
Based on recent customer reviews, Jaguar Land Rover South Africa faces severe criticism across nearly every aspect of the ownership experience. Recurring turbo failures, costly out-of-warranty mechanical issues, and prolonged workshop delays dominate complaints. Customers report extremely poor communication, unreturned calls, and a lack of courtesy vehicles. The dealer network contraction has worsened access to servicing. Several long-term loyal customers express intent to leave the brand. Supplier payment delays also surface. Rare positive mentions highlight friendly staff at the N1 City branch in Cape Town.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.

Was stuck in Bethlehem on 5 March 2026 on route to Cape Town. Vehicle went into limp mode. Workshop can't help due to "no hands". Once the vehicle is out of warranty - Jaguar Land Rover don't want to assist at all. They left me on my own to struggle

2 weeks ago I popped in at the Land Rover Stellenbosch branch to enquire about a vehicle. At first it was impressive after being offered coffee and more information regarding the vehicle I was interested in. One of the salesmen did a quick check on my vehicle and took it for a test drive all good up until then. He took my details and advised that we will get in contact with me regarding the way forward. I have still not heard back from him over a week later. To make things worse- I felt profiled as I wasn’t even offered a test drive keeping in mind that other customers were seen to with the utmost importance. After not hearing back from the guy who was supposed to contact me- I had to call in to follow up. Only then someone contacted me a few hours after and said he will inform the initial guy to contact me. Still nothing. Few days passes and the same guy calls me back but I was unable to answer. I then returned his call to him being huy with a client and telling me he will call back in 10 minutes. No call back and no correspondence. As a luxury car brand and coming from a customer who was serious to purchase a vehicle- I have changed my mind. The level of service and communication I had experienced was horrible. The most frustrating part is that it seemed as if every other customer was a priority besides me and to top it off - I had to enquire for a call back to arrange a test drive but still wasn’t properly contacted. Very disappointing and honestly, I will take my business elsewhere.

As a supplier our account is 4 months in arrears and 1 month current. Their processing of payments is ridiculously slow. Been struggling for years with them but 4 months in arrears is really unacceptable. As a customer we won't even get out the door with out paying.

Our Landrover went in for a fault in July 2025 and we were told that the wrong battery was fitted. We replaced the battery but the fault persisted. After a month in the workshop in Port Elizabeth, we were advised that the technician (it seems the ONLY one) was on leave and was dur to return in a few weeks. Its now been almost two months since the vehicle has been take to the workshop, with no clear indication what the problem is or when we can expect it back. The battery problem is being shunned and no refund is expected from the dealership for the new battery we were forced to purchase after we were advised of its surmised fault. The service is extremely bad which had us made a decision to never buy a landrover ever again. Its time they take their product and leave. The worst service we have ever gotten from any car dealership. I'll advise anyone that is keen to buy a landrover to forget the idea and look elsewhere. These people are just ridiculous to say the least. The service is worse than any government entity and that's putting it mildly. So stay away from Landrover. Not worth the money.
