R 61 000 cash for a car standing for 2 years
<p>I saw the beetle,2006 model.The sales lady said it had been standing in a garage. She said I should rather buy a more expensive car,I said I could not afford it . She assured me that she would fix everything as it had been standing for a long time. From the beginning the car had problems starting, then the lights did not work. Almost every second day we had to get someone to jumpstart the car. Then suddenly the windows fell out, some electrical problem. Every time we had to pay up to a R2500 for services and parts. I kept phoning this sales women, she said"I told you not to buy the car"and she said bring it in, you have a guarantee on the mechanical parts, but you must pay for the labor. I said I want my money back.</p> <p>I have taken the car to 5 different dealers, they say the car was in an accident and should be written off.</p> <p>I want my money and all my expenses back. This is not the way to deal with people. The owner also tried to threaten me when I wrote him a letter. This has been going on for 2 years, no car no money</p> <p>My child is a student, we suffer to pay for Uni and now we suffer gravely to make arrangements for transport. This is like stealing from the poor, it is a disgrace.</p>

07 Dec 2016, 13:58Today the repair shop told me that they have run out of ideas to repair the car, they said the car was to be written off. I went back to the service manual, turns out the car was a 2000 model, it has been in and out of Jakaranda Motors since 2010, with no service record, just repairs. 82 000 Kilometers and no service, and the sales women also admitted today that the car was actually hers so ....in 2010 she took it to Jakaranda then they sold it to someone, in 2011 they sold it again, then in 2012 they sold it again, then in 2015 to us, Karen Pattenson said she had the bonnet fixed, and she said she did not want to sell it to me because the door handle was broken.... still we now have to live without a car that was sold to us, what does she know .....and is she hiding or does the previous owner know that bought the car in 2013, for which there is also no service record.

I asked Jakaranda Motors to please provide me with the details of the job cards for each so called service stamp they made in the service book, as well as the proof of the invoice for getting the car road worthy before they sold it to me, so it would be interesting to see if the dates correspond......still waiting and still sitting without a running car...

20 Dec 2016, 12:32The car has been fixed, Jakaranda Motors fit a cheap generic waterpump to it, putting our life in danger and risking the engine to blow up, I have a picture of the rubbish they fit to the car, which they incidently also overcharged me on the selling price with R20 000. So I lose all the repairs, extra costs on transport and R20 000. What a scam what rubbish such humans are..... may you ....... disgrace
