Awful customer service

Earlier this week I visited the store with my mother. We enter and as a customary we were greeted by and and employee and asked if we required assistance , the store attandand assist. But as we are browsing and do not require any immdetiate assistance I walk through the store where i am uncomfortable followed around the store by the assist.I will not go into detail of how unhappy i was with my experience but for a store assistant to talk about customers while they are still within ear shot is utterly disgusting.
