I have never in my life dealt with such incompetent and dodgy companies. I am canceling my application with Home Connect for Fibre. For one Home connect needs to get more involved with what happens after the application for fiber has been submitted. I called home connect to verify which contractor was coming to install the fibre and the consultants were clueless and referred me to frog foot for details on installation. I applied with home connect and expect to get all my responses from home connect. If frog foot is to answer on home connects behalf then I might as well have applied directly with frogfoot. This shows a lack of responsibility for home connects side and this needs to be worked on. So, I applied with home connect and ended up receiving an email from frogfoot confirming the installation date that isn't even known by home connect. As my service provider home connects needs to know this and have all the necessary information and should be able to assist rather than send me from pillar to post. The appointment for installation was set for today the 5th of August 2021 at 11:00 am. Firstly at 9:00 am I called frogfoot to confirm the contractor coming to install the fibre and the lady who assisted me didn't know who was assigned to come and do the installation. I had to tell her and also tell her the date. So to me, she did not confirm anything, she said she would call the supervisor allocated to my job and call me back but she didn't. At 10:00am I had to call back and that's when she told me how the phone had been ringing non-stop and she couldn't get back to me, then just said yes the installation is to be done by the contractor today at 11:00am. My next question was why this company does not have a landline? I was told that they were individuals and operate via cell phone only...So this means no office to call if there is any problem. Prior to all this happening I got a call at 8:00 am while in a meeting from the JCS pipeline employee who told me that their client for 8am canceled the and that he wanted to come to me. I said it's not possible as I had already made other plans for my morning seeing that the appointment was at 11am. So, at 10:15am I left work to go and attend to the installation crew. I got there and had to wait until 11:15am and no one pitched. I called the guy who had called me earlier to see where he was and he told me he was still busy elsewhere and I should wait. I called the other number to find out what was happening and eventually got a call back from the gentleman explaining how the team that was supposed to come to me was allocated another job because I couldn't avail myself at 8:00 am...How do you expect me to avail myself at a timeslot given to a client that decided to cancel? And could you have not called me at 10:00am to tell me that your team would be delayed and we reschedule? You want to reschedule after I have been waiting an hour for your team to arrive? And you running a business like that? After I have spent time and wasted money waiting for your crew, you want to reshcedule...rescheduling is made an hour before...note that for future references. As if that was not enough, no one at home connect could assist with this late coming issue and eventually, the contractor's employee from jcs pipeline arrived at 12:10 pm at my place in a UBER. Like really...what foolish game is this? How does frogfoot give a job to a company that uses UBERs to work? How does frogfoot hire a company that doesn't even have branded vehicles? This is all fraudulent and I am going to take this up as I believe that my life was put in danger. These people in the Uber looked dodgy and nothing like the guy sent via email. I believe this was a planned criminal activity and needs to be addressed and attended to. You will not send out technicians in an Uber to go to a customer's house with all the crime that is happening in our country. I'm glad that my kids were not at home and I'm glad I went home instead of leaving the aunty in the house to take care of the matter. This looks like a crime syndicate. Nothing of all this adds up. While I was waiting for the crew from jcs,a branded vehicle with a team in proper uniform and identification came to install my next-door neighbor's fibre...Why did frogfoot not contract the same company? They have a landline and company email address. All services received from frogfoot, Home Connect, and jsc pipeline company were pathetic. I do not know how you are running your businesses but it's pathetic and you need to work on your customer service as well and start taking responsibility accordingly.

Would like to Compliment Faizal Hendricks and his team from JCS Pipeline services for a job well done. Not often you get a service that is honest fairly priced and good workmanship. Thank you for repairing my Fibre line and going the extra mile to ensure i have good quality fibre connection.
