I bought my car in 2019, which came with a warranty, maintenance, and service plan. Shortly after, I noticed a clicking noise in the car.
I reported the issue every time the car was at the dealership for service, but they never identified the source of the noise. When the dealership in Centurion closed down, I switched to the Midrand dealership, where the noise persisted. I raised the issue with them as well, but they couldn't fix it.
Now that the car is out of warranty and the maintenance plan has expired, I've been told the noise is coming from a tensioner, and I’ll need to pay around R9500 to replace it. It's incredibly frustrating—if only this had been addressed when I first reported it.
