Hello Peter A friendly warning regarding Just Answer
I approached Just Answer in September 2025 for an opinion regarding the employment of a Zimbabwean national to which I received a satisfactory reply. There was a fee to be paid for which I provided my credit card info. My impression was that the fee was for the one occasion and that after the reply my interaction with Just Answer would be ended, until I may need them again in future. What I did not understand was that by providing my personal details, Just Answer regarded it as registration for membership for which I had to pay R800-52 on a monthly basis. Despite the fact that I had no further interaction with Just Answer and they provided no further advice, the amount was deducted from my credit card. When I in January 2026 discovered that the deductions continued, I asked them to stop it and to refund me based on the fact that they have not further served me in any way. They refused but “out of courtesy” (their words) refunded only R781. This is an urgent call should you contemplate making use of the services of Just Answer: be alert. If you get into their net, they will not let you go. I do not know when my so-called membership would have expired, but I found myself a victim. Despite numerous attempts to explain the situation and get my money back, they refused.
So be careful, I lost money from my limited pension income.
